Susan Rivers woke up that day, perfectly fine. Except for the dark purple bags under her eyes, and the fact that she was going to Tandy High School (or Hell School, as she called it), she was doing fine. She put on a twenty øne piløts shirt, and some black jeans. The knees had a little hole in them, but she liked it that way. She threw on her black jacket, before her mom came in.

"You need to wear a dress, it's school picture day." She said, excitement rising in her voice.

Susan looked just like her mother. Everything from the same shade of dark brown hair to the same hazel eyes. They looked alike, like sisters even, but they were nothing alike. Mrs. Rivers' biggest dream was being prom queen, or being a model. Susan's dream was going to a concert and becoming an artist.

Susan groaned.

"Do I have to? Why can't I just wear this?" She asked miserably.

"You look all. . . what do kids call it? Emo? Emo. You look all emo."

"No offense Mom, but I am emo."

Susan said the last word, mocking her mothers voice. Her mom rolled her eyes and muttered something to herself before leaving the room. Susan groaned again and put on the dress her mom had bought her. She had never worn it of course.

She stepped out of her closet and looked at herself in the mirror. She sighed, looking at the prissy dress.

"Well, at least it's black." She said, hating the dress by the second.

Susan left the house and got in her parent's car. She had an extra pair of clothes in her backpack. As soon as the pictures were done with she was ripping this dress to shreds. At least Iris would make her feel better. Iris was always there for her.

Susan rode in the car silently, cutting it close to being late. She walked in the school doors as the announcements came on.

"-meet at 5:30 for your after-school meeting. Uh. . . students I please ask that you remain calm-"

Susan ran into first period and noticed that the announcements were never that serious. She barely noticed the kids to her right, pointing and making fun of the dress her mom forced her in.

"-We would like to inform you that. . . Iris Wells was found dead at her home at around seven o'clo-"

It was then that Susan ran into the girl's bathroom, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed so loud it was practically a scream. It was then that Susan Rivers tore off the dress and threw it on the bathroom floor stepping on it and screaming.
