Our first summer together was undeniably the best. We really got to know one another. I was beyond shocked when you called me in the first day of summer to go to the beach. We hung out every single day after that.
We went to bonfires, parties, private beaches and concerts all in one summer. My God, I loved it so much.
I remember the last bonfire of the summer. We went to your house before heading to the beach, you put on this really cute bikini with a peach colored flowing top and black high waisted bottoms. I saw you and immediately thought, 'fuck, I might be gay.'
You became my first female crush that evening. I hadn't realized how infatuated I was by you until this night. And it hit me so damn hard.
We walked down to the beach and had fun like we always did. I couldn't help, but be more touchy because how else do you flirt? You didn't seem to mind so I carried on with it, you've always been the touchy type since we met.
We gathered at bonfire to warm up from the water. We took pictures together, no matter how much you hate taking pictures, I always got you to take them with me. They were always just cheesy friend pictures, but regardless, I love them because it's us.
After we finished, you turned to me and said, "summer will always be our thing, Bianca." Before kissed my cheek, my stomach felt like a thousand butterflies and I grinned so big. You rest your head on my shoulder and held my hand.
Even just thinking about it now, puts me in a fit of giggles 4 years later. Imagine that, 17 year old me giggling over a kiss on the cheek that 13 year old me got. Wow.
