Hey everyone! Humfrey here. No, this is not an update...sorry about that! But I do have a question for you guys and gals out there.
So I've been wanting to get Wolv printed for a long time now. I've edited it again and again, and I think that I have cut out at least 90% of any spelling or grammatical errors in the text. And, while I know that everything I've written is available to read for free on this site, I also know that there are a handful of you how have said that they would like to own a physical copy, as I would. I don't see any reason for Wolv and it's sequels to be taken off of this site.
Now...that being said, as I am sure anyone who has ever looked into self publishing of any sorts know, there are hundreds of different companies and websites out there that offer self publishing or book printing services. I guess what I would like to know from you is, what do you guys think? Have any of you had your works printed, and if so, by whom? How did the experience play out? What were the issues that came up? I am very, very new to all of this, and I don't want to give away what I have worked for so long on to somebody irreputable. Honestly, if my work ended being stolen, I would be truly devastated.
Thus far, I have looked into a few different sites, with the most serious consideration going to McNally Robinson's "Espresso Book Machine," and the Amazon "Kindle Direct Publishing." Right now, Amazon is looking pretty good...I like that they print on demand, and that they are very well established across the globe.
So! To those of you who may have done something like this before...please, PM me with any advice! I'm all ears!
