After our long drive, Lia and I curl up together on a couch. I know Jeff and Bobby are maybe shocked, and maybe disgusted by the fact that we were...well I am not even sure what we are. However, I know that Jeff thinks of her as a daughter, as he should, and trust me I was never good with meeting the parents. Especially, not when said parent was a hunter, who knew pretty much every way to kill someone.

I dream of a normal life, with Lia. I see her in a wedding dress, her beautiful blue eyes look up to me, and we kiss. Sam, Bobby, and Jeff are there to throw rice. The scene changes, and Lia is round with my child, the sight brings a tear to my dream self's eyes. Another scene change and I am holding a baby, her beautiful eyes looking up from the child, until they turn blood red, and shadow in the background moves.

"Ahh, so you are the man my daughter loves, not bad if I say so myself, that dream there with a happy life, with my spawn. It's sickening boy, don't get your hopes up boy. She is a demon, did you really think she can have a happy life?"

I wake up with a start, and the first thing I notice, is the way Lia is cuddled up to me, my arms around her, her face in my chest, her hair splayed across the pillow. My lips inches from her forehead.

She is peacefully dreaming, and I have to smile, because at least it is me who is having the bad dreams this time.

I try to close my eyes, but everytime I do, I see the baby with the blood red eyes, and it scares even me.

I tighten my grib on Lia, I never wanted to let her go, maybe I was being selfish, and foolish. Hell, she was half-demon, I should be running away, most normal humans would have. There was just somethin about her, the way she carried herself, the way she had went to face her father alone, and of course the soft kisses she had that completely contradicts her attitude.

I hear a throat clear, and without moving Lia too much, I sit up. Seeing the others looking at us, as if watching a movie, I jump, and Lia stirs in my arms.

She opens her hazy blue eyes, and smiles at me. "Hey. I love you." She says, kissing me lightly on the lips.

I hear Sam snort, and someone, probably Jeff groan in disgust.

Lia whips around to face them. "Seriously,  what the hell you three?"

I smirk, yeah there was the Lia I loved.

"Well, while you two caught some shut eye, we got you two a case," Bobby says, and we both sit up, still drowsy Lia rests her head on my shoulder.

"What kind of case?" Lia asks.

"Well, since Sam will be here recovering, from you two sneaking him out of a damn hospital, we have a case just for you two. A few uh..exotic dancers have been found literally shredded to little bitty bits." Jeff explains, looking awkwardly at the floor.

"You want Lia to go undercover as a stripper?" I ask.

The pain in her eyes are clear. "Jeff..."

"Sorry sweetheart. At least Dean will be there, though the way you seem comfortable around him, worries me."

I reach out for her hand and squeeze it. "Where is the case?"

"Not far, Iowa."

"See we just have one problem, the Impala has been completely destroyed, by uhh..a demon." I point out.

---

"You know, someday you are going to get me killed." I say.

Lia smiles, "I will try not to kill you."

She gracefully climbs on the bike, and after having a baby talk moment, she allows me on behind her, our bodies close. I wrap my arms around her to hold on. I trust her, I just like cars better.

She flips the kickstand,  and starts the engine. Then, just like that we are off, fast. I hear her holler out with delight.

---

While she steers the bike in the direction we want, on long streches of blank highways, I think. Thinking back to the talking to Bobby had given me before leaving.

"You don't hurt the girl Dean, I assume you know what she is?"

I had nodded.

"Well, let's just say if she dies, Lucifer will be your new best friend, and Jeff will probably kill you." He told me.

"I don't plan on hurting her Bobby." I said.

"Well, let's just say that whenever Winchesters and Demons get together, all promises go out the window." He warned. "I don't want to see either of you hurt, I practically raised you, and I have known Lia since she was born, her mother Tessa, was a damn good hunter until Aegean got the best of her."

I remember looking at him, the shock evident in my face. "Aegean killed her mom?"

Bobby had nodded. "Her father wanted her to give her Lia, but Tessa loved that little girl, she wouldn't do that. So, Aegean blasted her out of the way, but by then, Jeff had already come and taken Lia away. Tessa could always talk her way out of things."

I couldn't help but feel bad.

----

Back in the present, I still hold on to her for dear life, she was a road runner, and we were making good progress. I couldn't even see the road blowing by.

Nearing nightfall, she stops and we eat. I havent seen her this happy in the two weeks I had known her, must be the motorcycle.

"So, how you liking the bike so far?" She asks, after eating most of her burger and fries.

"I prefer the Impala, but I mean, the bike makes you smile, and that's a sight for sore eyes."

A flicker of a smile plays on her lips again.

"We should make it to Iowa by morning, we will settle down, and I will get a job at this gentlemen's club." She says, her voice going smaller.

"You're scared aren't you?" I ask, sincerely worried about her.

"Of course I am, I don't want to strip in front of fourty year old men who have wives who don't know they love the little blonde girls young enough to be their daughter." She says, the anger rising in her voice.

I am not shocked, she had every right to be disgusted. It wasn't me who was going to have to get up on a pole and strip for men like the ones who frequented that kind of place.

"Let's just get a motel room for tonight, so you don't have to drive all night." She opens her mouth to argue, and I shoot her down with a look. "Come on Lia, I am sure we can find one around here. "

"Fine, but you know we will save money with just getting the one bed room, now that Sam isn't with us."

I feel my jaw hit the floor, but we leave the resturant and hop on the damned motorcycle again. Heading out for a motel that will take our misfit souls.

We didn't know however, that night that we would have a visitor soon and that visitor would steal the most important puzzle piece in Lia. The one thing would kill her to lose. Her sanity.
