Reckless & Beautiful [POETRY]

covered, hidden, exposed

the girl was surrounded by darkness
filling the space with loneliness and words of longing
too many words covering too many scars
written everywhere, hiding everything
and exposing nothing.

the words of loneliness that would never suffice
the cries into the black world that echoed 
and came tumbling right back to her
she cried out again, over and over
the space filled with empty words
until
the words covered everything,
hid nothing
and exposed everything
