I had been shot. Sage had been too. My dad was mad. Not mad, like angry, but mad like crazy. Margret wept like a baby. Wait, she is a big baby. So what if I objected to the wedding, they weren't right for each other.

As my ghost floated up into the air, Sage's did too. We were up in the clouds, having so much fun jumping from one to another. Suddenly, I was being pulled down. Jolts of energy rushed threw my body, trickling down my spine. I was falling, fast. Sage grabbed my hand, but I slipped right threw his fingers. I fell until I felt a warm place. I was back in my old body, with a lifeless Sage next to me, and a weeping Margaret on the other side of me. She looked up panicked, but she looked relieved to find me back. She hugged me. The car came to a stop in front of the hospital, Margaret stayed in the lobby, while Sage and I were rushed to separate rooms, as I fell into a deep sleep.

I awoken to find doctors poking at my arm, and my chest. I had been shot twice. I kept trying to get up, but my body just told me I didn't have the strength. I asked the doctors about Sage, and Margaret. They acted as if they didn't hear me. They kept poking around, trying to retrieve both bullets out. It took about two hours, to get them out and stitch me up. They took me to more of a normal looking hospital room, where Margaret was with a frown painted on her face, I could tell she'd been crying. She reached for my hand, and she grasped it tightly.

"Hey, honey" she said softly .

"Hey" I replied back.

"Can I see, what they did to you?" She asked politely.

"Yeah"

"Oh my" she said as she pealed back my hospital gown.

"Where's Sage?" I asked.

"Oh, I made a decision" she said. "It was you or him"

"Oh" I said. I felt a tear slide down my face.

"I couldn't risk loosing you, you still have years to live, Sage has lived a long, happy twenty-seven years" she said like she was going to cry again.

"Where's dad?" I asked.

"After he shot ya'll, he ran, so he's still out there" she explained.

"Where's mom?"

"You didn't hear?" She asked.

I shook my head no.

"Your dad shot her too. She's gone."

We sat in silence for about five minutes when the window was suddenly broken.
