Chapter 2: The mansion
We are currently heading to our destination. The van is loud, Robert kept bragging about his girlfriends. While Jessa and Dylyn are laughing and contributing to the noise. Richie and Miguel are busy with their phones, maybe they're chatting with their partners. Nico is driving and I'm just enjoying the view outside. Eventhough it's just unlimited trees that you will see, I still enjoy it. After all, there's only few trees in the city.
*Time skip 8 hours*
"Okay. We're here." Nico said and we went outside the van.
The house is huge, more like a mansion.
" Woah! I thought it will be a cabin." Richie said with amusement.
"Yeah. I thought so too." Nico said
"What? You're not sure?" Jessa asked a little confusion in her voice.
"It's my first time here guys. My parents just gave me a map to get here. And I think this is it since it's the only house here." Nico said while looking and checking his map.
"Hey bro, don't joke around. It's already dark. We can't travel again if we got in wrong house." Robert said while checking Nico
"I told you guys, this is the way to get there and this is the destination."
"Then why is it not a cabin? You're parents said this is suppose to be a cabin and not a mansion." Miguel said
Nico is still checking the map and we are just getting our stuff in the van when the door opened revealing a woman.
"Well, hello there. What can I help you?" The woman asked revealing a smile. At first she is surprised to see us but then she just smiles and talk to us.
" Umm... May we know if this is Smith family's house?" Asked Dylyn.
"Smith? No dear, this is our house. Dagger family." She said with confusion.
"Nico we got the wrong house." I said
"Shit." He said while making a face palm.
"Is there any problem?" The woman asked while getting closer to us.
"Umm.. actually yes ma'am. You see, we are suppose to get in our friend's house, but it seems we got the wrong way." I said while giving her a sad smile.
"Oh my! That's a real problem." She said looking like worrying.
"Yeah. That's a real problem guys." Miguel said still in his phone.
"May I see the map? Maybe I can help." The woman said
Nico gave the map to her and she examined it.
"Yeah. You got the wrong way."
" What? But I followed it." Nico said
"You see this child? This is where you traveled, but this is the correct one." She explained to us while pointing the right path.
"Oh shit." Robert cursed
"Did you guys asked someone before you got here?"
"Um no. I was certain that I'm in the right path that's why I didn't bother anyone." Nico said
"This is what the travelers often got wrong. This place of us is really confusing so you should asked."
"Sorry guys." Nico apologized to us.
"Nah it's okay bro" -Robert
"Yeah, we can't do anything about it." I said
"So we should go back." Richie said
"I'm afraid we can't. We run out of gas." Nico said
"And that's 5 hours driving guys." Miguel said stating a fact.
"Then what should we do? It's already dark now. We can't sleep in the van too." Jessa said annoyed
We are talking about what we should do when the woman talked.
"If you don't mind. You can take a night or day in our house. We would like to have visitors." The woman offered with a smile.
We all looked at each other and decided.
"We can?" Richie asked
"Of course, I'm the one who offered it tho."
Nico said that we need to accept that since it'd already dark. It's also not safe to sleep in van and the other girls don't want to sleep there.
"Well then, please take care of us. Miss-?" Said Nico
"It's Mrs. Dagger. Please come in. I'll introduce you to my family." She said and guided us inside.
The inside is amazing. I mean, it's very clean and organized. The furnitures are antique. The model of the house is old but I think it's wonderful. It's very rare to see this kind of house these days.
When we went to the living room, an elegant chandelier is what we saw. There is no dust. It's like they are cleaning it every single day. They also have a fire place and they have carpet.
This house is amazing, I think there's a possibility that I'll get loss in it.
