It was too late when I realized that we actually arrived in the coffee shop. It was all familiar to me. I knew it. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ARTICLE. I know deep in my heart and deep in my soul. He was the one.

"Here we are, Ma'am." Lou said.

"Oo, nandito na nga tayo at kasalanan ito kung bakit tayo humantong dito. Alam ko makasarili ako pero hindi mo lang din alam ang totoong nararamdaman ko." I know she can't understand that. Jon, my driver opened the door of my car.

I scanned the whole area and sat at the corner.

"Ma'am, the boss said he'll be here in 5 minutes."

"Thanks."

My heart is palpitating. I continue reading the article.

We never had a communication. I strived harder so I can prove to her that I can also be like her. I was trained for years and after which I was promoted to be the owner of Axis Press. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to thank properly Mr. Suarez because he wasn't able to catch up in the hospital. He met a hit-and-run car accident on his way to our house to bring the document to me in person. As I was scanning different articles during the past years, there was this someone who always catch my attention. Her pen name was "Kai." Editors use pen names so favoritism will be avoided. I always read their articles. I check them. I revise them but this is the only editor who can catch me off guard.

"Hey." A cold voice covered the area.

I bit my lip and I couldn't move my head to see him. I was nervous.

I planned to promote whoever that is. I think he or she is suited to be an Editor-in-chief. As I scanned the list. I saw that name. It's the name that could tear my whole wounded heart in to thousand more pieces.

Kai - Kiara M. Nicholas

"Miss." That voice called my attention once again.

I was able to breath a bit when I recognize that he isn't the boss. I mean, not yet.

"Are you going to order?"

I looked around and 5 minutes passed by he is not yet around.

"Maybe later. Maybe one minute. Thanks."

And the waiter nodded.

We graduated at the same course. She became the Editor-in-chief of Axis Press at the age of 22 years old. I became the boss at the same age, at the same press. I was happy to see her happy. She finally reached her dream and the anger in my heart said... she finally reached her dream because of me. No, that is not the case. I want to meet her and congratulate her in person. Because she deserved it.

She finally spread her wings. Yes, you already did, Ms. Nicholas.

"Miss." A voice called out to me. I didn't look back at him.

"I will order later. He might be a bit late for a while." I said.

"It's better to be late than never." I was curious to see the guy. "Late ka ng pagdating at never ka na ding bumalik sakin."

Congratulations, Yara!

Yours truly,

Aceryl Smith, owner of Axis Press

His eyes were the same intense black eyes that I used to stare into every day. It's the same smile in just different curves until his jaw tightened.

"You chose the big boss over Ace today, huh?" He sat in front of me and he stared at me. I opened my mouth when the waiter gave us the menu.
