"Another day." He sighed as he pushed the keyboard slightly, feeling burdened. "Another day of lying to myself and her."

He ran his fingers through his silky brown hair and shook his head slightly, causing his hair to sway as well. "I'm not fit for this. I'm not fit for lying."

He grabbed his now-cold cup of coffee and chugged it down, exhaling deeply. "What was he thinking? This will hurt her even more! Is he stupid? Oh my God."

He scoffed angrily, blowing a strand of hair out of his face. His eyes that were glued on the screen of his computer were now ripped off it to glance over at the clock hung loosely on the white wall behind him. 7:33, it read. It was still early in the morning. He focused back on the screen, his fingers skillfully pressing the buttons on the keyboard gently yet quickly. He was writing a light novel, one in which he was planning on telling his very own story.

His phone suddenly buzzed abruptly, breaking his train of thoughts. He grabbed it and groaned, looking at the notification.

1 NEW MESSAGE FROM Y/N

He bit his lower lip and tapped the notification, opening the messaging app.

Y/N: I'm sorry for messaging you so early, but I wanted to check on you. Did you take your medicine?

Jungkook let a shaky breath escape his pink lips as he typed out the reply. He had to reply quickly or else Y/n would worry.

You: It's okay. Thank you for always checking on me. Yes, I took my medicine.

A painful smile played on his beautiful lips as tears welled up in his eyes. How many lies was he going to tell before she'd finally know? How many lies did he have to spit before she'd finally find out? How long will it take her to discover the ugly truth?

"Not too long," he thought. "She's prone to find out at some point. Why am I doing this? Why do I have to?"

Y/n: I'm glad you did! Do you have work too today? I really wanna facetime with you. I missed seeing you. It's almost been two weeks now!

You: I'm sorry, Y/n, but I'm very busy. I don't think I'll be able to talk to you today.

Y/n: Awwwww. OK, Tae-Tae; just make sure you take care of yourself, okay? Don't stress yourself out with work too much! You know I'll die if anything happens to you. Please be careful. As always, I LOVE YOU!💕💕

"I really need to stop. I really need to tell her the truth, but.."

You know I'll die if anything happens to you.

You're the only one I trust with her. Please, keep her happy.

"How am I supposed to stop lying when the truth is bitter and the lies are not? How am I supposed to tell the truth when the truth is such a horrible excuse of reality? Do I really want to hurt others just by saying the truth?"

He wiped his tears with his sleeve. "I guess I'll just lie some more. I'll just lie more."

You: I love you too, N/n. Take care of yourself as well, okay?

Y/n: Will do~!💟 Bye-bye. I have to go now.

You: Bye. 💘

With that, he put down his phone and lied down on his bed, his heart racing.

"I just want this to be a dream. I just want to wake up already."
