It had been a week since Cody was sent to the Shadow Realm. His absence had changed Leah.
"We have to do something, she's been in here all day." Pantsu passionately whispered with a worried expression on his non-existent face.
"So what if she wants to stay in her room all day! Having your boyfriend be forcibly sent to another dimension is the equivalent of going through a breakup... I suppose?" Pantsu's disagreeing glare was enough of a response for Jasmine. "My point is, girls need time alone after experiencing this sort of stuff."
"Fine, Fine! I'll drop it. But if she doesn't get out of this room, and stop sulking I'l-"
"This is all my fault." Leah said, removing her head from her tear soaked pillow. Jasmine's comforting voice arose from upon Leah's chest. "No honey... That battle was clearly rigged."

At this very moment, all limits on Jasmine's vulgarity had been released. Her intensity was cranked up to 10. She channeled the power of all the Basic White Bitches within her voice, and prepared to release a storm of shade upon Leah's Asian ass. Leah had crossed the fucking line.

Leah's parents interrupted from within another room.

Leah needed a way into the shadow realm, and she knew just the person to ask. She journeyed to 80085 Neverinmylife Road to find the only one with connections to a greater being.
"So let me get this straight..." Albin said to Leah, half asleep. "You came all this way just to ask me if i could summon the Author, so that he can create a portal to the shadow realm. All so that you can ATTEMPT to save your boyfriend?"
"Yeh."
"Eh, fine it's not like I was busy."

"So now what?" Leah asked restlessly
"Go find a team."

And so Leah scoured the entirety of wherever this fanfic is set, searching for a team of worthy warriors. In the end she found none and had to settle for next best thing... the first person she locked eyes with. As she walked through the filthy streets, she came across a 'strong independent black woman' named Emanuella.

"No... the ritual to enter the shadow realm requires a minimum of 5 people... However, there is nothing to fear as I have connections." Leah and co sat in awe, waiting for Albin's next move. "Everyone stand in a circle." He said with a dumb smirk on his dumb face.
