Deity spent hours everyday, as a deal with Dumbledore for her late studies. Ms. Greengrass taught her very hard, a she pushed Deity to learn.
"Ms. Greengrass, if I may sked what was your house?" Deity asked as she bent over to breath.
"Slytherin." She said, as she watched Deity from her high podium.
"Again." She yelled, and Deity held her wand up.
"Expecting Patronum." Diety said, a light blue sprit light appeared it was quite hazy. She tried to see the figure but, could not see it.
"We'll try it again later." She said, and began to walk in front of her.
"What I'm going to teach you is never taught here at Hogwarts. So this must be kept secret." She said, and Deity frowned.
"Why?" She asked, and Ms. Greengrass glared back at her.
"Because you are my pet. And you are my apprentice. Everything I know will be given to you." She said, and Deity nodded as she watched and listened very closely.
Deity stood silently as the halls had quickly became loud, as students had returned for their fifth year.
She stared down at her book, as she read about dementors. Ms. Greengrass had decided it was time to force the patronous out, as they had unsuccessfully done it for months.
She closed her book, as footsteps came closer to her. She walked away quietly as she turned a corner and ran into soemone. She began to fall but was caught by someone.
"Are you alright?" A person's voice asked, and she looked up at who caught her. Mr. Scamander had caught her swiftly, and she stood quickly.
"Hi, Newt." She mumbled, and gave him a look of gratitude. He looked down and then back at her and smiled. Deity walke daway as she went back up the tower to Ms. Greengrass's room.
"Deity? Come here." She called from a distance, and Deity walked into a plain room with open windows and desks.
"Yes, ma'am." Deity said, and looked around the room.
"I'm going to have you tutor. It'll mostly be small spells and charms. You'll be in here to help them if they need it. Anyway, this is the room. Oh, and go and eat and be ready for tomorrow. It's your test." She said, as she stared outside and Deity nodded. She left quickly, and stopped on the stairs. She breathed in deeply, as fear coursed through her veins.
She sat for a while as she calmed herself, she stood slowly as she walked down teh tower. She slowly walked through the halls, she stopped once she saw the front courtyard. She sighed and sat down quietly.
Deity felt soemthing rub against her leg, and looked down. She saw her tiger, which she had named Apollo. He rubbed his head aginst her leg, and she smiled. She made him sit in front of her, and she pulled out her wand.
"Engorgio." She siad, quietly and he tiger grew into his ancestors original height.
He snarled playfully, and ran around. She smiled, as she heard a voice behind her.
"Very good, even though I should not be saying that."
Deity turned around, and saw Dumbledore with a smirk on his face.
"I di. di.." She stuttered, and he put up his hand.
"I saw nothing. Just came to bring you food." He said, and flicked his wrist. A table appeared in front of Deity, it becomes filled wiht plates of food, and drinks. She smiled, adn took a plate of food to Apollo.
"Thanks, Al." She said, and he smirked and sat next to her.
"So, are you ready for your dementor test?" He asked, and Deity stared at the ground still.
"I know everything you've ever done, Deity." He said, and she glanced at him.
"You'll learn to do what I can do, but just wait. I belive you'll be able to do your test. Now, enjoy your meal, and get a good night's rest." He said, as he stood and walked away.
"Deity be prepared." Ms. Greengrass's words focused around her head, as she held her wand tightly.
"I want to think of your most peaceful memory. Happiest you can remember." Ms. Greengrass said, as she stood in front of a trunk.
"Got it?" She aksed, and Deity closed her eyes and focused.
Deity nodded as Ms. Greengrass pointed her wand at the trunk and a dementor floated into the air.
Deity breathed in and out, as she held her wand up. She pointed her wand at the beasts, and spoke.
"Expecto Patronum!" She said, loudly and a spray of blue light repelled the beast and she drove it back into the trunk. She huffed out air and bent over.
"That is fine, but it would never protect you enough if you were in a horde. I want corporeal, what you just did was incorporeal." Ms. Greengrass contradicted, and Deity shook her head.
"Well, you don't have a horde." She said, and Ms. Greengrass smirked and pointed her wand at the trunk. The lid flew open, and one dementor floated into the air, and several more followed doing the same. By the time, Ms. Greengrass closed the trunk lid. At least 50 or more dementors floated in the air.
"You got you wish." She said, and pointed her wand at Deity.
Deity gasped in fear as she began to back away. She turned to run down the tower, but the doors flew shut. As did the windows, as Deity turned around and saw a dementor in her face. She gasped, as she fell to the ground and it back to suck.
Deity gasped, as she felt a pulling sensation and groaned in pain. She laid on the ground defenseless, as her brother suddenly came into her head. A memory, her happiest memory.
' "Deity, watch your brother." Her mother yelled, and Deity held her infant brother. She waited til her mother was gone, and she smiled down at him.
"I promise I'll never let her touch you. I love you, Credence." She whispered to him lightly, and he smiled with his gums. She smiled down at him, and began to sing lightly to make him sleep.
"By the light of the silvery moon
I want to spoon
To my honey, I'll croon love's tune
Honey moon, keep a-shinin' in June
Your silvery beams will bring love's dreams
We'll be cuddlin' soon
By the silvery moon." Deity sang, as her brother was alseep and her home was peaceful.'"Expecto Patronum." She mumbled, and she twisted her hand slowly. A blue light flew out of the tip of her wand. Her patronous slowly revealed itself, as the dementors stared at it along with Ms. Greengrass.
"Thestral." She muttered under her breath, and the patronous began running around the room. It chased after the dementors, as they flew away in the air and it followed. The dementors quickly flew back into the chest. The thestral stood in front of Ms. Greengrass, and it huffed blue smoke in front of her. It slowly faded, and Deity stood with her wand in hand pointing striaght at Ms. Greengrass.
"Beautiful." Ms. Greengrass said, and Deity slowly let down her wand and turned to walk away. She walked out to the tower and descended slowly. She walked through the halls, pale skin, dry lips, dark eyes. A lot of life had been taken from her, and she just passed them normally.
She entered her chamber, and closed the door. She leaned against it, and slid down her door. She began to cry, as she could still feel the life being ripped from her. Her brother gone, herself feeling death. She broke finally, and Dumbledore could feel it. He sighed, and she stayed their crying as she felt herself slowly break down from the inside.
