Machai finally focused his attention on Jacob.

"Machai, there's been something I've been meaning to ask you..."

Surprisingly, he somehow was able to jump towards the main subject unintentionally.

"What, you want to confess your gay love for me?"

He gave out a faint chuckle, and waited for Jacob's answer.

"...yes."

Machai laughed again, still treating it like a joke, which Jacob didn't want. Jacob had realized that he had strong feelings towards Machai in the last two years. He had to accept himself, no matter the cost and how bad it could be.

"Machai, no seriously."

Machai stopped himself and started to open his ears to what Jacob was trying to say to him.

"I... wasn't joking that I wanted to confess my gay love to you."

Machai couldn't really process what he was trying to say. He couldn't tell if it was a joke for not. If it wasn't a joke, then he couldn't possibly accept his undying love, as Lizzy was still together with him in a solid relationship.

"Do you understand?" Jacob asked if he was still listening or not.

Machai responded with an unenthusiastic "yes" to Jacob. He had to listen to what Jacob wanted to say, or else he would take it the wrong way.

As Jacob opened his mouth, a long monologue that sounded uninteresting to the average lifeform came out of him.

Is there something wrong with me? But when I started to get closer to you, the feelings grew stronger. I had an assumption that my newfound emotions related to you. Was it a deep relationship that was going to blossom forward? I couldn't help but beat myself up over that question, because it was the only and reasonable answer to these follow-up revealings.
