Chapter 1

December 15, 2016 (Thursday)
Gelo's POV

"Bye!" Melo and I said to our teammates as we walked out of the school gym.

We got into dads car and he drove home. I sat in the passenger seat and Melo sat in the back. 

"Dad, can I go to the Martinez house after dinner? I have a project with Jade that is due soon." Melo said.

"Martinez? Hm. That name sounds so familiar."

"Jade's parents died in that car crash and I think her godparents adopted her." I said to my dad.

"Yeah her Godparents are the twins' parents." Melo responded.

"Okay well you can go over for that project but be back home at a responsible time because you have practice tomorrow morning." Dad told Melo and he smiled.

When we got home, I dropped off my ball stuff and went straight to the kitchen. 

"Hey mom. How are you?" I said as I hugged her. 

"I am good Gelo. I am glad you boys are finally home. Dinner was gonna get cold." She said.

I sat at the table with Melo, Lonzo, my dad and my mom. We said grace and all started to eat.

"So boys, any special girls at school?" My mom asked with a big grin on her face.

"Well in my Math class there is this drop dead gorgeous girl and her name is Hunter. I'm gonna ask her out next week." Melo said blushing.

"Young Melo is finally getting some." Zo said laughing. I laughed with him. "What about you Lonzo?" My dad asked.

"Well I'm with Alyssa (his gf) already but there was this girl at Chino that was beautifu, Her name is Jade at least I think it is." Lonzo said with a grin.

"I'm going over to her house later." Melo mumbled.

"Ask her when she's posting that concept video she has been working on." Zo said laughing. 

"Huh? What are you guys talking about?" I asked confused.

"She's a dancer. Look." Melo said as he pulled out his phone and showed me a video of her dancing.

(She is in the middle)

"She's bad as hell damn!" I said to Melo.

"Can you not dawg? She is like a sis to me. Don't ruin my friendship with her." Lamelo told me with a straight face.

"I think Gelo has a crush?" Mom whispered to dad and I shook my head in annoyance.

"Well, I should head over to her house." Melo said as he said bye to us.

I washed my plate and went to my room. I grabbed some clothes and took a shower. I couldn't stop thinking about how good Jade was at dancing.
