"IM SORRY..."

I walked out the chiefs office, and headed straight to the nearest bathroom.

"His here! Why here?"

I couldn't hold back the tears anymore, I looked at myself in the mirror thinking to myself what have I done to deserve this. But I knew i couldn't answer that. I opened the faucet and put some cold water on my face and wiped it with a paper towel to make it seem like if I wasn't even crying. I grabbed my bag and walked out the door.
I was distracted walking out the door that I bumped into someone.

Omgodd I'm so sorry I didn't see you there I said

Oh it's fine it happens he said

I look up to see who he was.

He was tall, muscular, black hair, greenish eyes. It's was like seeing someone from a movie just that in this reality he wasn't he was real & he was a doctor I'm guessing by what his wearing scrubs and a doctors coat. I thought to myself.

Excuse me hello? Are you there? He said

Yess I'm here sorry about that just kinda lost

Maybe I could help you? He said

Please! Do you know where I can find Dr. Alvarez?

I don't think he can see you now? Do you have an appointment? Are you one of his patients?

Mmh! Not exactly I'm his wife! Abigail Alvarez..

You're..his.. wife?

Yea that's what I said.

He grabbed his cellphone out of his coat pocket and waited there till I decided to speak up.

Excuse me! Mhm Dr... Im sorry I don't know you're name.

It's Dr. Castillo, he said

Okay Dr. Castillo do you know if Dr. Alvarez is gonna take long?

"I'm here" a shout from a long distance came,
sorry I took so long I had a patient after patient, well you know how that goes.

Yea of course I'm a Doctor too.
Anyways thank you for paging him Dr. Castillo it was nice meeting you, I said

The pleasure was mine meeting my best friends wife I never knew he had.

Yes definitely said Alex okay I'll let you two talk and we'll talk later see you guys around.

We walked away side by side at first there was no sounds except the sound of our shoes, when all the sudden I couldn't take it anymore and I decided to say what I been wanting to say for almost 10 years!

"Why?"

Pardon me? He said

"Why did you leave without telling me?" Why out of nowhere did you decide to leave me with no explanation? I stopped walking the direction we were going and just froze there with all those memories coming back from day we got engaged to the day he left without saying a word.

Flashback (December 11, 2015):

Come one Abigail hurry up! What does it say. Said Charlie

Charlie we have to wait 5 minutes I'm guessing? I don't know I never had one of this done, well I have but not in a stick i said confused then ever.

It doesn't say a time you just have to wait till two lines appear and that means you're pregnant Charlie said while holding the pregnancy test.. Soo anything yet..

I hold up the stick and stared at it.

"I'm pregnant!!"

Omg! Abigail I'm so happy for you isn't this what you and john been wanting.
Are you not happy about the news? Or is something else bothering you?

No not at all just shocked at the fact that me and john have been trying I mean we tried everything but we couldn't get pregnant, that's why I'm shocked that I'm pregnant now..

I have to tell john the news! Ahh tears came running through my eyes pure tears but not the sad tear not the ones were you're "oh I'm pregnant and it will ruined my career everything i put into, not that either, but the happy ones the ones that I have wanted to have ever since I started to get pregnant to make my own family at last it was all coming together.

Charlie I can't wait to tell john, his gonna be so happy.

I reached down to my coat pocket and grabbed my phone & dial this number. "Hey it's john Alvarez I'm not able to answer you're call right now so leave a message and I'll get back to you"

He isn't answering Charlie.

You know what just got home right now go tell him, I'll cover for you besides you're shift is about to be over.

Are you sure? I said

Yes go.

Okay, okay geez Charlie I said I grabbed the pregnancy test and left rushing out the bathroom door. I'm pregnant I thought to myself, this is actually happening to me. I walked down the hospital hallways and I grabbed my phone and dialed john again but the same words came up. I got to the locker room it wasn't exactly a locker room it was more of a break room were us residents could take breaks of course, I quickly changed into my normal clothes and grabbed my scrubs and stuffed it in my bag and walked out, as quickly as I could I walked towards the exit and hopped into my car and left straight to my house with all the urge to tell him I was pregnant. Our house wasn't to far from the hospital you can probably say it was about 5 minutes away.
I parked the car in reverse and grabbed my bag and walked out to the front door I knocked a couple of times but there was no response maybe he fell asleep or something I searched for my keys in my purse and opened the door.

John, john where are you? Wake up I have something to tell you! I shouted from the front door. Still no response I went straight to our room to check if he was there and he wasn't there I checked the bathroom and he wasn't there either, I walked over to the kitchen counter and put my purse down and grabbed my phone dialing his number hoping he will pick up this Time but nothing it send me straight to voicemail. I walked over to the dinning room and there was a sheet of paper folded in half with my name written in the middle "Abigail"... I opened the note inside there written the letters "IM SORRY" in bold...
