Zara made it home, if that’s what you can call it, just before the sun came up. Unlike what most people think she doesn’t sparkle in the moonlight or burn, but she prefers nighttime so people can’t see her. She’s not ugly, far from it actually, she just doesn’t like her new self. She once was a normal human girl, living a normal life, until someone took it away from her.
Zara was sitting on her bed brushing her long brown hair till it was as soft a cloud. Getting up she head towards her full length mirror. Tonight there was going to be a party and her parents where kind enough to let her go. Even though she had to walk it wasn’t too bad just about a ten minute walk to the house.
Looking in the mirror Zara looked at her black skinny jeans and red top; she never liked dresses, and added some lip gloss to her already pink lips. Her blue eyes sparkled with excitement as she hurriedly made her way down the brown, creaky, staircase.
“Bye mom, bye dad, love you!”
“Love you to pumpkin; make sure your back by one!”
“Ok daddy see you then!”
She ran half way there until she became tired and had to walk. The wind was blowing lightly making the girl shiver.
She was about two minutes away when she got this strange feeling someone was watching her. Looking behind her she slightly squinted trying to make out any shapes of a person who might be fowling her. When she couldn’t find anyone she just surged her cold shoulders and kept walking.
A couple seconds have passed with nothing unusual until Zara bumped into a cold chest.
“Oh…I’m sorry I didn’t see you there.” She said between her teeth chattering.
When the person didn’t say anything she looked up and when she did she screamed. Looking down at her was a guy, but just not any ordinary guy, no this guy was smirking an evil smirk that showed off sharp teeth. “Uh...Well bye.”
Before she could move a pail, ice cold hand, reached out and grabbed her. Looking up once again she noticed the guy had glowing red eyes.
“I’m sorry Zara but I need to do this.”
“Wh…what? Why?”
“I can’t tell you now, but soon you will know.” With that the guy pulled her close before clamping his mouth down on her neck sucking some blood out, but not enough to kill her.
She let out scream after scream, but no one heard her, no one came to save her from this pain that just made you wish you were dead. The only thoughts that where running through her head were ‘will people miss me, why isn’t anyone helping, and can I just die now?’
Before the pain could get any worse she blacked out.

Zara shacked her head trying to get that awful night out of her head. She still never found out why they did this.
Pushing her old wooden door open with a creak she stepped into the old, dusty, warehouse. They didn’t give her money for a place; they didn’t do anything for her besides tell her only time will tell her what she needs to know. So far that has been nothing because all she’s been doing is hunting and sleeping.
Pushing back the covers of her hard, single bed, she laid down and went to sleep, only to dream of her past.

Zara woke up to a throbbing neck. Pushing up with her hands she looked around the room. There was a small green door and plain gray walls. Before she had the chance to get up the green door swung open showing the red eyed guy. This time she didn’t scream instead she just sat there calmly.
“Doing better I see, how’s your neck?”
“A little sore.” She answered, her voice coming out scratchy.
“My dear it seems like we need to feed you.”
That night, that simple sentence, changed me, changed my life forever.
So…How was it? And I know, I know, its short and I’m sorry but its three am by me and I have to get up early.
Anyway, vote, comment fan! I won’t upload till I get one new fan, three votes, and two comments. Thanks!
