''Daniel, Go quickly before more come.'' whispered Miya.
'' I can't just leave you.'' Daniel said tears in his eyes.
Miya slowly pushed away from him. He got up understanding what she meant. He ran to the machine with hordes of zombies trying to break through the doors. Daniel reached for the compartment. As he placed the cure in the compartment a green glow shot over the city. He turned to see the zombies slowly turning back to their human forms. He took a breath of release. He had saved everyone. Then he remembered Miya. He couldn't lose her. She was different than other girls he had met. She was the person he loved.
He raced over to her side.
''Miya are you still here?,'' Daniel spoke, the worry evident in his voice.
Maya slowly opened her eyes. She looks up at Daniel.
'' Thanks for the adventure Dan.'' whispered Miya, ''And I'm so glad I met you.''
'' I love you Maya.'' Daniel mumbled
'' I love you too Dan.'' Maya cried, the tears rolling down her cheeks
Maya's eyes slowly closed. Daniel stared down at her in sadness. He held her close to him until he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around quickly to see his Mum and Dad. He jumped up and hugged them both.
'' We are so proud of you,'' His Mum and Dad said in unison.
He pulled away to look at the people he had not seen in years. He looked over their shoulders to see two adults and a boy running towards him. They ran past him towards Miya's lifeless body. He walked over to them.
'' Your daughter was so strong.'' Dan said, ''She never gave up on saving you.''
Maya's Mum walked up to him and embraced him in a hug.
''I'm sorry, I know you loved her,'' Miya's Mum sighed.
''How did you know?'' Dan asked.
''I saw the way you held her and looked at her when she died, she loved you to'' Miya's mum said tearing up.
Daniel looked her in the eyes and then walked back to join his parents. He and his parents hugged once more before they walked back to try and rebuild their lives. Daniel took one look back at Miya and her family before continuing on.
