Chapter 5

Why did I say Pj? I've now pulled him into this big mess. I walk upstairs and check the time; 4:43. I quickly text Pj-

Kate: Hey Pj, could I come round?

Pj: Right now?

Kate: If that's ok

Pj: Yeah course, why?

Kate: I'll explain when I get there

Pj: Ok, do you want to meet halfway? It's really too far to come

Kate: It's alright, I need the time to think

Pj: Do you want to stay over for a night?

Kate: If you don't mind

Pj: Course not. Ok see you later

Kate: see you Read at 4:52

I quickly grab my backpack and pack it with the essentials. After about 10 minutes of extreme packing I'm ready to go. I go to Simon's room and knock. "Si I'm going to a friend's house for the night, ok?"

"Yeah that's fine, be safe"

"You too, bye"

"bye Kate". I started my long drive. I had a lot to think about so I drove in silence. I thought about me and Harry, I know we have only been on one date but my feelings are really growing for him. He always makes me laugh and smile. Then there is Simon, I can't keep lying to him. What happens if Simon doesn't allow me to see him anymore but maybe if he saw how much I like him he would re-think, yet again Harry is one of his closest friends. What happens if one of Harry's fans spot us and tells everyone. What happens if one of our friends accidently tell Simon? These thoughts were making me very stressed and worried so I decided to drown them out by listening to so music. After about an hour I reach Pj's apartment. I click on the buzzer for Pj's floor.

"Yes"

"Um yeah Hi Pj, I'm here"

"Oh right, I'll let you in". I hear the door click showing that the door was unlocked. I walk up a couple flights of stairs then I reached Pj's door. I knock on the door quietly. After a minute I realise he must have not heard me so I knock louder this time. Still no reply so I start drumming on the door to my favourite song: I'm not ok (I promise) by MCR. I was drumming so hard I couldn't hear Pj running towards the door. As a result, I didn't notice him opening the door and accidentally punched him in the face.

"Omg Pj I am so sorry, I didn't see you there"

"Yeah I thought so or you have just grown a deep hatred for me from the last time we were together" I laugh extremely hard that I snort, "Or your body has been taken over by evil pigs and they are now the ones controlling you!" I laugh uncontrollably.

"Omg Pj stop making me laugh I can't breathe".

"Ok sorry, do you want to come in?"

"Yeah thx". "So Miss Minter what do you need from me?"

"Well I need to ask/explain something to you. While I do you want me to help you out with your black eye?"

"What I have one?!"

"Yeah um again sorry about that"

"Its fine, don't worry" We walk to the kitchen and I put some peas on Pj's eye.

"Ok so here it is, my brother Simon won't let me and this other guy Harry go out but we kind of did and I think I'm starting to like him and I didn't want our chances to date to be over so I kind of lied and said you were my date.... I'm really sorry to drag you into this"

"Its fine Kate, your one of my closest friends and I would do anything for you, even if it is pretending to be your boyfriend" I get up and hug Pj,

"Thx Pj, I owe you big time"

"Yes, yes you do". Me and Pj spent the evening replaying the whole of Zelda and also eating Pizza. I woke up the next morning at 9. I walked to the kitchen and saw Pj making some tea. "Morning"

"Morning, when did I fall asleep last night?"

"Well you fell asleep right during a level, which we lost" Pj said with a sigh.

"Omg sorry"

"Do you want a cup of tea?"

"Of course, what kind of person would I be if I didn't?". He laughed and gave me my tea. For the rest of the morning we drank our tea and ate some toast. We finally finished Zelda! I checked the time and saw it was 12.

"Well Pj I best be off, thank you so much for putting up with me"

"It was really fine don't worry about it!"

"Bye Pj" I said giving him a long hug, it will be a while before I see him next.

"Bye Kate". I walked out of his building and stat in my car and turned on my phone. I realise yesterday night Harry had text me. Oh no, I must have not checked my phone last night. I click on his contact.

Harry: Hey, I really enjoyed today☺ Yesterday at 5pm

Kate: Me too and I'm so sorry about the late reply, I was at a friend's house. Can we meet up soon? I need to explain something (it's not bad don't worry)

Harry: Yeah sure, do you want to meet at Nandos at 4?

Kate: Ok cool see you then

Harry: Bye Read at 12:10

I text simon

Kate: Hey Si, I'm just about to leave my friends now, expect me sometime around 1.

Si: Ok, see you soon. Drive save!

Kate: Will do, bye Read at 12:14
