#5 True Colors

You woke up in the morning when your mom called you for breakfast. When you were done eating, you informed your mom that you would be missing lunch in order to meet up with a friend.

"Okay dear. Just come home before dinner," she said with a smile.

"I will. By the way where's dad and grandma?" you asked while looking around.

"Your dad already went to work and your grandma is in her favorite place again."

"Um....favorite place...?" you muttered confused wondering where the heck this favorite place was.

"Don't tell me you forgot. It's the balcony," your mom answered shaking her head as it suddenly came back to you.

"Ah... Sorry sorry. I forgot," you apologized.

You went to the balcony where you found your grandmother seated in the balcony chair. She averted her eyes from the sky and looked towards you when you greeted her.

"Good morning grandma," you said with a smile.

"Ah. (Y/n). Good morning. Sorry for not noticing your presence sooner dear."

"Haha... Well it's alright. You seem to be immersed in looking at the scenery outside."

"That's true. The weather is especially good today," Your grandmother replied with a smile as she turned back to look at the sky.

"Okay. I don't want to disturb you so I'll be going back to my room. Also, I'll be out today during lunch so don't wait for me," you explained. She nodded and muttered, "be careful and don't come back too late."

Going back to your bedroom, you wondered about what to do to pass time. You took out your laptop and opened it. You opened uo solitary and began to play in order to pass the time.***

It was already lunch when you started fixing yourself and went downstairs. You said goodbye to your mom and grandma as you exited the house.
After an almost an hour, you reached your designated place where you saw Michael already waiting for you as you rushed over to him.

"Hey! am I late?" You asked hoping you weren't.

"Nope! You came just in time"

"That's good" You said in relief. "So where are we going?"

"Hmm... How about we walk around the park first" Michael suggested as he looked at you.

"Alright!"

After you both walked around the park, you both went to eate ice cream and Michael also treated you to a fancy restaurant. After that you went to a mall and walked around like you both owned the whole mall.

While hanging around him, you noticed that he looked malnourished, you wanted to ask him if he was eating well or not, but you didn't want to disturb the good atmosphere around you guys, so you didn't ask.

The time was now 6:00 pm. Knowing your mom must be worried, you asked Michael if the both of you should go home but he refused. He said that there was a final place that he wanted you to come with him.

Thinking over it, He was now a friend of yours. Also you enjoyed the time you spent today together so you agreed to come with him to that place.

While walking, there was an awkward silence around both of you. Michael walked at the front as you followed behind him. Wanting to break the silence, you asked "Where are we going?"
