DRAGNEEL COMPOUND
Music filled the entire spacious leisure room.
There was drinking and dancing on every corner. The colors of black, red, and white dresses and suits filled the hall.
Everyone celebrated the return of Sting Eucliffe. Of course, he was part of the big family.
A huge billiard table was at the center of the room, being played by Jellal and Sting.
"How's it going with you and redhead over there?" Sting said with a smirk on his face as he looked at Erza who was drinking at the bar counter.
Jellal chuckled at him, shooting the number 8 ball on one of the baskets.
"Well, she's still my girl if that's what you're asking," he answered, smirking.
This time, Sting's attention went to Natsu who was sitting on the black leather couch with Lyon and Rogue.
"What about Natsu? Still making ladies cry?" the blond chuckled.
Jellal looked at him with surprised eyes.
"You didn't know?" he asked him.
"Know what?" Sting looked back at him, confused.
"He already got married" he simply answered.
"Woah! What?" Sting stifled a laugh, he wasn't expecting that.
Both of them looked at Natsu who was busy discussing with the others.
"I feel sorry for the girl he married. She probably has regrets by now. I mean, I bet he's not even serious with her just like the other women," Sting said as if he knew everything.
Jellal gave an amused smirk.
"Well, actually..." he started, but he wasn't able to finish when the huge bronze doors of the room opened.
Everyone's attention turned to the ones who entered. Clearly expecting them.
Two blonds walked into the room. Men and women in suits followed behind them, like bodyguards.
Sting recognized one of them. His frenemy, Rakheid. The woman he was with though, he did not know who she was. She had the same blond hair, only darker.
And damn, she looked like an angel amongst the demons in the room. Something about her made him feel...different.
The two blonds approached the billiard table to give a greeting to the one who was the reason for the celebration.
Jellal had a smile on his face as they came closer. Sting, on the other hand, had his mouth agape as he continued to stare at the blond beauty.
"Close that mouth, Sting. You'll catch flies with it," Rakheid said sarcastically, "and, welcome home."
Sting faced him with a smirk on his face, not affected by what he said. Afterall, they were always like that since birth.
"I miss you too, Rakheid."
"You must be Rogue's brother, Sting Eucliffe," the woman with Rakheid started, getting their attention. Especially the blonde's attention.
"Well, yes. And you must be..." Sting started as his eyes went from her to Rakheid and then back to her, "Rakheid's girlfriend."
Rakheid's eyes widened at what he said. The woman giggled at his joke. Or so she thought it was a joke.
Jellal quickly elbowed Sting on the side, making him wince in pain.
"No, you idiot," Rakheid rolled his eyes at him, "This is my sister, Lucy."
As if the door of unexpected opportunity opened up in front of him, Sting's eyes widened and his soul lit up like candlelight.
"Ohh...Lucy," Sting said with a relieved chuckle, "My apologies, I didn't think a beauty like you could possibly be related with this guy."
"Hey!" Rakheid popped a vein.
"You're funny," she giggled at him.
Sting straightened up, as if getting his cool back.
Jellal knew what was going on inside his mind as he looked at him. Sting had his game face on. The face he always wore when he was out hunting. He inwardly shook his head at the unknowing blond man who's probably thinking he had a chance at Lucy. But no, the man sitting on the couch would not allow that. It would be chaos if that happened.
Sting slowly held her hand and kissed it like a gentleman.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Lucy," he said, giving her a charming smile.
"I feel the same, Sting," she smiled back.
It was like vitamins for his eyes.
"Do you want to grab a drink with me?" he asked eagerly.
"I would love to, but," Lucy started as she looked past him to the one sitting on the couch and staring back at her, "he's waiting for me." She finished, giving Sting a bright smile before she walked away.
"Catch you later," Rakheid said to them and went after his sister.
Sting and Jellal looked as they walked away, the blond had a confused face.
"Who's 'he'?" he asked no one in particular.
Sting watched as Lucy stopped in front of Natsu who stood up and kissed her on the cheek. They had a smile on their face. He got more confused.
"Why did he kiss her?" he asked again, still looking at the two.
Jellal who was beside him just sighed. He turned to Sting with a smirk.
"That's because she's his wife."
In a split second, Sting's head turned to him. His eyes as wide as they could be.
"What?" was all that came out of his mouth.
"Yup," Jellal answered, "so whatever it is you have in mind, FORGET about it."
"You're not serious," he said, not being able to believe it.
Jellal chuckled at him.
"Trust me, you wouldn't want to be Natsu's enemy."
Then he left the blond and headed towards the bar counter.
Sting wasn't able to move.
After a moment of being a statue, he turned to where Lucy was.She sat on the couch, smiling. She was happy.
It would have been a good view if it was just her.But Natsu was with her, holding her hand. Lucy was his.
As Sting stared at them, the door of opportunity just closed in front of him.
