Wren's mind was swirling. Why on Earth would Austin move things so fast? Of course, it didn't really bother Wren, just that he was frazzled. Smiling to himself, Wren shifted his gaze from his lap. Austin was eyeing the menu, his long eyelashes shading his beautiful, stunning blue orbs. Wren's smile grew wider as he took a look down at his own menu. Austin had been right, the soups looked delicious.

"Wow, this all looks great." Austin commented, pressing his menu back down onto the table. He pointed to a particular soup, smiling. "This one especially."

"Yeah, it really does." Wren responded, taking note of the soup. It was a simple soup, just warm broth with assorted vegetables and meat. It was basic, and that's what Wren liked about it. "I think I might get it."

"Mm, me too." Austin's cheeks always seemed to be a bit pink, and Wren found it adorable. "I'll order for us?" He questioned, smiling at Wren.

"Yeah, sure." Wren returned Austin's smile, leaning back against his seat.

Austin flagged over the waitress, flashing her a bright smile. "We'll both have this." He pointed to the soup, still smiling cheerily at her. Wren began to feel a little jealous, but he pushed it down. Austin had kissed him, not her. It was going to be alright.

The waitress returned Austin's smile, nodding and scampering away. She was undoubtedly pretty, but Wren didn't feel very attracted to her. Women could be beautiful, but he never really felt any connection to them.

Wren closed his eyes happily. He really just enjoyed Austin's company. Wren heard a small bit of tapping on the table, so he opened his eyes. Austin was gazing off, staring at who knows what, his fingers strumming softly on the table. His eyes were so bright and so icy, and he looked so beautiful just sitting there... Wren let his thoughts wander, not really noticing that he was beginning to stare at Austin.

The blonde suddenly turned to look back at Wren. The officer flushed a bit and averted his gaze, tapping his foot on the ground nervously.

"Don't be embarrassed." A light chuckle erupted from Austin, making Wren's heart flutter. "It's cute."

"I-I-I-" Wren stuttered, gulping. Why was he so embarrassed?

"Hahah, your face is so red." Austin murmured softly, leaning across the table. A slight smirk decorated his features, but his eyes were still sparkling beautifully.

"I can't h-help it!" Wren cried out, feeling desperately embarrassed. "Y-You're making me feel like this..."

Austin didn't pull away, he only pushed his face closer towards Wren's.

"Kiss me?" The blonde asked, smiling cheekily. Wren looked back up at Austin, fumbling with his fingers. He glanced around, checking to see if there was much of a crowd. Not surprisingly, there weren't many people. It wasn't that Wren was ashamed to be gay, it's just that he still felt embarrassed to show affection in public.

"Yeah, o-okay." Wren smiled back, his cheeks still red. He closed his eyes and leaned forward, pressing his lips against Austin's. Wren could feel his cheeks and ears burning, but he didn't ever want to pull away. Austin's lips felt warm and inviting, and the way Wren could still feel the blonde man smiling was unimaginable.

Much to Wren's dismay, Austin pulled back, that dumb, adorable smile still planted on his face. Austin's cheeks were also dusted a light pink, but it was nothing compared to the scarlet red that Wren was showing. He smiled a bit, his eyes focused on the table.

"Thanks." Austin said, tapping his finger on the table to grab Wren's attention. "Look at me."

Wren obeyed, taking his gaze back up to meet Austin's. "Yeah?" He asked quietly, smiling a bit.

"Do you want to go out with me?" Austin smiled back, his expression so pleasing.

"Y-Yes!" Wren stuttered out, happiness gripping him. "I would love to!"

Austin let out a sigh of relief at Wren's enthusiasm. "Thanks." He leaned forward again, giving a small peck to the officer's cheek.

Wren's was about to return the gesture when the waitress came with their soups. He sat down abruptly, thinking about if she had seen it or not. If she did, she didn't comment on it as she set down their meals. However, she was staring at Wren an awful lot, and he was beginning to feel uncomfortable. She wasn't just spacing out, you couldn't really do that when you were serving people. She was checking him out

Wren passed it off, just ignoring the woman's stares as she left the table. But he had noticed that Austin seemed to be... Pouting? No, not so much pouting as it was he just looked upset. But what would he have to be upset about? Had he noticed that waitress checking Wren out? Wren didn't think that could make someone look so angry...?

Austin seemed to notice Wren staring, and the blonde instantly calmed down. Whether it had just been remembering Wren was his, or the realization that he had been staring, Austin's anger seemed to subside. The barista smirked a bit, much to Wren's surprise.

"You really do like to look at me, hmm?" Austin questioned cheekily, resting his head on his hand. "It's cute." He murmured, winking at Wren. The detective blushed, the burning feeling returning to his cheeks and ears.

"I-I already told you, I can't help it." Wren mumbled softly. He had figured he would be the one doing the teasing in the relationship, yet here he was, blushing like some flustered schoolgirl.

"Hahah, I'm just messing around with you." Austin's chuckle warmed Wren's heart, making him smile. "Don't worry about it."
