Lauren sat at a computer at school, typing up the last of her art essay, and emailing it to her teacher. She logged into her school email account, and noticed an email from a Camila Cabello. Yes. The girl she now shared a room with at the house. She sighed and opened the email, scanning her eyes over it.
Sorry if it's not okay for me to contact you like this, but I did what you told me and I made a resume, I just wondered if you would have a look at it and let me know if there was anything that needed changing. Don't worry if not, I don't expect you to I get you're busy and stuff and I'm probably the last person you want to help. You don't owe me anything, so don't feel obligated. Thanks anyway.
Attached to the document was a copy of the resume. Lauren had a bad feeling about it. Camila had clearly never done this before, she had never needed to. Lauren had every right to ignore the email, the girl had completely taken over her life, and not in a good way. Lauren hovered the cursor over the close button, but the good in her took over, and she opened the document. She was right to have had a bad feeling about it.

Camila wandered with her bags to the front doors of the school. It was the end of the day, and she had a long few hours in town again looking for a job. As she walked past the reception, she noticed someone standing at the top of the steps. Heading closer to the figure, she realized it was Lauren. Was she waiting for someone? Camila thought, confused as to why the girl would just be standing there. Lauren stood upright as Camila came closer. She was holding a bunch of paper in her hands, holding it against her. Camila went to walk past, giving Lauren a small smile as she did, but slowed down as Lauren stepped forward and handed Camila the paper. Confused, Camila looked over the sheet at the front, and then the ones following it, identical. It was her resume, although she had printed out copies of the one she had made. Lauren had looked at it, and had made significant changes to it, built it up a lot more than Camila had.
"Oh..I didn't think you'd look at it..." Camila said to Lauren. The green eyed girl shrugged, and walked forward beside Camila, and down the steps.
"Hey, wait." Camila said a little louder, hoping to catch Lauren's attention before she left. Camila sped down the steps and caught up to Lauren. They walked out the doors together.
"Thanks, for this." Camila lifted the bunch of paper up. "You really didn't have to help me." Camila said. Lauren pulled a face, scrunching her nose and raising her eyebrows, suggesting to Camila that yes, she did need to help.
"Right..was it that bad?" Camila asked, reading Lauren's expression. Lauren shrugged and nodded a little.
"Crap." Camila muttered under her breath. Lauren shrugged again, and continued walking down toward the bus stop. Camila hurried to catch up to her again.
"What do I do now though? I went to the town and they didn't want anything to do with me." Camila stammered a little, worried about being turned down a second time. Lauren rolled her eyes as she walked on. She looked down to the bunch of paper in Camila's hand and sort of snatched it in a way, and continued walking to the bus, so Camila would follow her.*****
Neither of the girls got off at their usual stop, but headed to the next one down, and got off there; it was closer to town and the mall.
"Where are we going?" Camila asked Lauren, as if she would get a straight forward answer. Lauren kept walking. Camila didn't ask again. As they walked into the town square, Lauren stopped in the middle, and looked around. When Camila had caught up to her, she handed her the paper, and pointed to a shop directly opposite them.
"That one?" Camila asked. Lauren shrugged, and then pointed to a few others around them.
"Just...try any of them?" Camila tried to understand what Lauren was getting at. She was new to this. Lauren nodded, and sat down on a bench beside her. She pulled out a pen and notepad and flipped to a scrap page, and scribbled something down on it, then handed it to the brown eyed girl. Camila read over the words, Hi, I'm looking for a part-time job, can I hand this in here? Camila nodded and looked back up to Lauren.
"Go in, and say this, and leave again." Camila confirmed with Lauren. Lauren held her hand up to her chin and then lowered it down, signing "thank you".
"And say thank you..?" Camila wasn't too sure on sign language, but she had seen it around before. Lauren nodded. She sat back on the bench and waited there for Camila to finish her round.
