The whole thing was just a dream. Sofia was in the Royal Prep coach, still chanting "Please take me to Royal Prep" in her sleep. Then she heard someone who sounded like Sir Eric.

"Sofia? Wake up, Sofia," the voice called.

Sofia opened her eyes, and in front of her was someone who looked like Sir Eric—but it was really Hugo.

"Hugo? Is that you?" Sofia asked.

"Yeah, it's me," Hugo smiled. He hugged Sofia tightly. "I was so worried. We've been looking for you everywhere."

"You have?" Sofia asked.

"Yeah, you have quite a bump on the head," Hugo told her. He put the blue helmet back on Sofia and took her hand. "Come with me. Everyone is out there."

Sofia realized that the whole thing was just a dream. She was still dirty from falling in the mud earlier. Hugo took her outside to see their friends and family.

"Sofia!" Miranda cried. She went over and hugged her daughter tightly.

"We've been looking for you everywhere," Roland declared. "Where have you been?"

"Hiding in that flying coach," Sofia smiled. "I must've been dreaming this entire time."

"What did you dream?" James asked.

Sofia explained her dream to everyone, and they all thought it sounded interesting.

"That sounds very interesting, but why did you hide in the coach?" Hugo asked. "You should've been in the locker room."

"I didn't want to get near Amber and her friends after what they did," Sofia snorted.

Amber, Hildegard, and Clio realized that Sofia was still angry with them for making her fall in the mud. Amber didn't like Sofia being mad at her, and Hildegard and Clio didn't like that either.

"We're really sorry, Sofia," Amber apologized.

"Very sorry," Hildegard added.

Sofia saw how sorry Amber, Hildegard, and Clio were—and as per usual, she knew they deserved her forgiveness.

"It's okay," Sofia smiled.

"Well, now that everything is okay, maybe we can go and hitch a ride," Hugo suggested.

"Let's go," Sofia smiled.

Just as Sofia and Hugo were about to take off, Axel said, "Sofia, you're going to need your boots for this." He held up Sofia's boots.

Seeing Axel with her boots left Sofia surprised—she was sure she was wearing something. "Wait, if you have my riding boots, then what am I wearing?" she asked.

Sofia looked down and saw that she was still wearing the garnet slippers.

"Nice shoes, Sofia," Hugo smiled.

"Thanks," Sofia smiled.

Axel handed Sofia her boots, and Sofia took off the slippers and put her boots on. Sofia gave her slippers to her mother and went off with Hugo.

Sofia learned a big lesson: while it's fun to see loved ones, it's not really the destination but the journey that matters. There was no knowing what could catch one's eye during a journey. Sometimes someone you meet on the way may need something important. Sofia may have been dreaming, but she still had an exciting adventure.
