The quartet journeyed down the Yellow Brick Road as far as they could until they saw a bright green glow in the sky.
"There's Emerald City!" Sofia exclaimed happily. "It's beautiful," Sir Eric gaped. "He really must be a wonderful sorcerer to live there."
"Well, we'd better get going if we want to get there," said Vincent.
The quartet skipped to the entrance of the Emerald City.
"We made it!" Sofia exclaimed.
"Finally," Bobby exclaimed. "I can't believe we walked such a long way."
"Next stop is the Sorcerer of Oz!" Sir Eric beamed.
Suddenly, an Emerald City Guard poked his head out. "Greetings, what brings you to the Emerald City?" he asked.
"We came to the Sorcerer," said Sofia.
The Guard was astounded. "The Sorcerer?" he asked. "Are you sure? Nobody has ever seen the Great Oz!"
"Please, we have the see the Sorcerer," urged Sofia. "The Good Witches of the North sent me here to see him."
"Can you prove it?" the Guard asked.
"She's wearing the garnet slippers," Sir Eric replied.
The Guard looked down at Sofia's feet. "Oh, so she is," he smiled. "Well, that's a horse of a different color. Why are you standing out here? Come on in!"
The Guard opened the door to the Emerald City, and it was very beautiful. A fancy coach pulled up, and the coachman said, "Just what you're looking for! I'll take you anywhere in the City."
"Could you take us to see the Sorcerer?" Sofia asked.
"The Sorcerer?" the coachman gasped. "Alright, but first, I'll take you to a place where you can get cleaned up."
The quartet got into the coach, and Sofia was surprised to see that the white horse harnessed to the carriage had turned purple. "What kind of horse is that?" she gasped. "I've ridden a flying horse, but I've never seen one like that before."
"No, and you never will again, child," said the coachman. "There's only one of him, and he's it. He's the horse of a different color you've heard tale about."
Sofia and her companions thought that was very funny. The coachman started driving the quartet to the nearest Emerald City salon. Before they got any further, Sofia saw that the horse had turned blue. Just as the coachman dropped her and her friends off at the salon, the horse had turned pink. Sofia thought it would be weird to have this kind of horse in her home world.
Sofia and her friends were pampering in the salon. While Sir Eric was getting a massage, his suit of armor was being polished, and so was Bobby. Vincent himself was getting a massage, and Sofia was getting her hair fixed. Her uniform was clean, too. Once everybody was clean and ready to go, they went off to find the Great Sorcerer.
