Chapter 1 - Dear Diary ------ By Mia_Lowe05

Dear Diary....

I finally picked up this book that dad gave me and decided to write in it. Today is my first day of a new beginning. An unexpected, unreal beginning, might I say. Never knew my planned life would turn out like this but then again, nothing ever, EVER goes according to plan!

August 18 2012, is the date of today. Yesterday was the end of summer break, were most teens had an awesome holiday. Not for me though... Considering the little speed bump's in between my life. But that was yesterday. According to my counselor I have to step through that door and close it behind me, and never open it again. Hell, I don't think I would anytime soon...

Anyways, dad is dropping me off at my new school as we speak. Don't feel very keened on going but dad insisted that I need to get back in socializing with normal people. I'll update after I get through this day--if I get though this day, alive.

I walked through the front doors of a crowded, noisy, hyped school were teens pushed and shoved throw all at once. Never knew teenagers would be so keened or excited to get into school.

I sighed.

Strangers were screaming at each other, and then hugging them like there life depended on it. I know they were just happy to see there friends on the first day of school--I know I would have. Random people bumped into me and did not apologize or even glance back my way. It did not bother me like it would have, before the..... Let's guess say hiccups, mainly because I was used to it. Plus, this was nothing compared to what I had to go through.

So, here I was, walking unnoticeably down the corridors to my first class that was Math's. I avoided everyone and everything around me. I know dad had said that I must be social today and blah blah blah... I'm just not keened on making new friends today, or any day. Not that I'm one of those introverts that blush all over and goes mute when someone looks or talks to them. I'm not an emo either. I don't cut my wrists, though I have cuts there. No, I used to be very popular back in the day. Now, I just wanna use Dr. McCoy's advice and forget about the past. I'm going to be invisible for as long as need be.

I sat down in an empty seat in the corner, by the window were no one would pay attention to me. If this day goes well, without me being noticed, well then, maybe I'll stay....

Everyone took there seats. Since the seats were for two, someone stopped in front of my desk. My eyes travelled from the blue pumps, up the light coloured skinny jeans, to a black top and to her face.

My breath caught in my throat.

She smiled "Uhhmm..., hi. What you doing in my seat?" she lifted her eyebrow at me and tapped her blue shoe on the laminated flooring.

My expression was blank and I made sure my tone was robotic "I'm sure I didn't see your name on the deck" I replied.

Her eyes ranked over me for a brief moment, before her cheeks slightly went pink. I thought she looked cute, but I immediately pushed that thought away. Right then the teacher walked in and the bell went off, signaling start of class.
