Chapter 3 - The rain and her picture ------ By Mia_Lowe05

Dear Diary...
Say goodbye to the sun for awhile, due to the cloudy, grey clouds and thunder that's threatening to pour down in the early morning. With no more than two birds flying about, everything seems dull and bleak.
Despite the foul weather, I think things are starting to be brighter for me. Dr. McCoy and dad were right about me needing to start a fresh beginning to forget about my old life. And self.
School seems to be looking good. Yesterday was tryouts for football and since I did a little showing off, the coach put me in they're next game which is this Friday night. I originally wanted to be invisible to begin with, yet I think I need these social surroundings now to help me through my problems and to distract me from her.
But still it's hard for me to get through another day without having to think of Kimmy. Alice is making it extremely harder now that she's in my new school and I get to see her everyday, every morning for the next three months until winter break. I don't think I can manage it though. I can't not look at her and want to lose all my control to kiss her with the last bit of hope left inside my broken heart.

I dropped my pen which landed on the window seat that I was sitting at, then to the floor. I couldn't write only more. If I did, I couldn't promise that I wouldn't lose it all over again. I haven't cried for two weeks to be exact, and was hoping I don't for... for as long as need be.
I frowned, when I felt my nose start to burn with my fist clinch in and out and my vision start to blur before me.
"No, I'm not going to lose myself" I strictly ordered myself.
Blinking back the tears that were threatening too explode out my eyes in one gesture, I un-balled my fist and erased any images that wanted to flash through my mind of Kimmy.
"Jack!" my dad called from down stairs.
I groaned and had to literally force myself to get up off the window seat and throw on a warm, grey hoodie for this chilly weather.
"Jack! Some young lady named Demi is asking for you!" dad yelled again as I dragged my feet down the stairs.
I lifted my eyebrow as I got to the bottom of the staircase to find that crazy-hot chick, dressed in her slutty cheerleading outfit again, and giving me a hungry look over while standing at the door.
I took a deep breath, waiting for an amusing explanation to why she's here, at my house.
She surprised me when she pulled two brown cups from behind her and lifted one to me. I lifted my eyebrow at her again and turned to my dad. He gave me a pat on the shoulder and left to the kitchen.
"Damn him!" I muttered low, too myself.
"What? You don't like coffee?" she scrunched up her face, looking worried. "Fuck! Stupid Demi! Stupid!" she cursed to herself.
Crazy much? I chuckled. I shook my head "No, I love coffee" I smiled, hoping it was sincere enough "Thanks". I took one of the hot, brown cups and brought it to my lips. It stung a little as the hot liquid touched my tongue but other than that, it tasted great!
"Good" she sighed in relief and smiled. "Oh, um it has three sugars in there. Just the right amount that you always prefer" she said nervously, but then she stopped and then her eyes went big as she realized what she said out loud.
