Y/N'S POV:
It was senior year and the whole entire biology class decided to go on a joy filled camping trip for spring break. Saturday was the big day, everybody drove their cars early to school. My friend and I walked into the cold front doors that were filled with blissful sweet moments of Chanyeol and I. For the past days Chanyeol has been ignoring me, only giving me a few glances from time to time. We never got to talk, despite being in the same class. Even though our biology class was filled with a lively atmosphere from the class pranksters, however, my heart felt empty and cold every time I looked across the room to Chanyeol smiling and talking with other girls. Doubts clustered through my brain endlessly, questioning if this crush was really worth it. When Rachel and I walked into the classroom, Chanyeol was already there, huddled among his friend group laughing at a stupid joke about Chinese flying monkeys. Our eyes instantly met when I walked in only to have him break it after only a few seconds. My heart sank as I quickly scrambled towards my friend group in the opposite corner of the room. After everybody has arrived, we all took a huge school bus to begin our eventful trip! We all screamed to the top of our lungs to the classic throwback songs and at that moment I could feel pure delight surround me, feeling as if I was enveloped in an internal bubble of forever happiness.
Chanyeol's POV:
Senior year was happening so soon. I didn't know what to do with my feelings so I kept them hidden. I always noticed Y/N from across the room but tried to avoid eye contact in fear that my feelings will take a toll on me. I've heard a couple of my friends tell me a guy in her English class has been talking to her. Doubts filled my head over and over again. Maybe she likes him, I mean she talks to him, he's popular, and everything. It was the day of the camping trip and Y/N walked in with her friend. I noticed her from the instant she walked in, how my heart began to beat just a little bit faster with every step she took closer to me. I looked at her and we locked eyes. It felt nice to look into those eyes again, I felt her warmth radiate through me. Reality hit me rather quickly until I realize what was going on and broke the eye contact scared that my feelings were only one sided.
Y/N's POV:
The cabin we were all staying at was splendid with huge rooms filled with bunk beds and a nice lake by the woods. Everybody settled in and unpacked our stuff. Dinner was done and we all had our assigned seats for today's meal to help everybody break out from their typical friend groups and be closer with the rest of our classmates. My fate came scrambling in, pushing me towards my name tag that was placed on the seat right in front of Park Chanyeol, the Chanyeol I've loved since I was in 6th grade. The awkwardness filled the room as I took my seat, never looking up from my plate. A few friends I knew sat close to me so I could socialize with them for a bit. I gathered my confidence together to look at Chanyeol. There he was, chatting and laughing with another girl from across the table. My heart quivered, knowing I could never talk to him like that. He then turned his head over to make eye contact with me, taking me by surprise. I immediately looked down to my empty plate, feeling the rush of blood hit me. The girl next to me then began talking to me, teasing me about the guy in my English class that rumors have seemed to spread. I giggled at her funny remark only to look up and see Chanyeol looking straight at me. His face was much more stern, the look in his eyes harden with the mention of me and another boy beside him. He broke the eye contact when a random girl from the cabin next door came to talk to him. She took a seat right next to him, making herself at home. She leaned extremely close to him, trying to engage him in a certain topic. She told him he was cute and that she wanted to talk to him more after this trip. Jealousy burned through my veins as I could feel myself getting light headed. I continued to listen to their "sweet talk" as she all of the sudden felt his shoulders and biceps when they were talking about swimming. My hands reached down to the hem of my dress, clenching onto my dress. I could sense Chanyeol looking over at me as I was clenching my dress, my eyes stayed staring at my food. I then heard the girl saying she'd like to date him. I felt as if my whole world was crumbling right in front of me. All he did was laugh and continue eating his food. She then made a bolder move to intertwine her fingers with his. My eyes couldn't stop staring at their fingers. I couldn't take it anymore and excused myself from the group to sprint out of the room to get some fresh air.
