Chapter 1

(Lily's POV)

"Lily honey, you have to get up for school." My mum says as she shakes my bed trying to get me up.

I just groan and she knows that I'm awake. I slowly walk into my bathroom and look in the mirror, omg my hair is a mess. I quickly jump into the shower and wash my hair, if I do that it will dry into my natural curls. After my shower I walk into my wardrobe, yep that's right, I have a walk in wardrobe, and try to pick an outfit. After what has felt like ages i find the perfect outfit, its high wasted shorts and a red tank top that will fit perfectly around my figure. After I get dressed I put a small amount of make-up on just to complete my appearance. I grab my bag and head down stairs.

As I walk in to the kitchen I see my dad reading the news paper and my mum on her phone.

" Morning honey, did you have a nice sleep" my father asked

" It was ok" I mumbled as I reached for an apple to have for my breakfast. Me and my fathers relationship hasn't been the same since Cory died. Cory was my twin brother who died 6 months ago in a car crash. My father was the one driving the car when the lorry crashed in to its side. The doctor said that the impact killed Cory instantly. My train of thought is interrupted when the door bell rings, I know that it will be Ashely here to pick me up for school.

" Bye mum, bye dad see you later"

" Honey, I forgot to tell you we won't be here for the rest of the week. Me and your mother have to go on a business trip to Washington."

" oh, em ok have a safe trip" I say as I run out the door. Great, just great. Another week all alone while my mum and dad are in Washington.

As I get into Ashley's car i sigh .

" what's wrong Lil " Ashely says in a gentile tone

" My mum and dads are away on another fricken business trip, leaving me all Alone, i mean, this is the 4th one this month, I was ok when Cory was alive because I actually had company but now I have none, God after Cory died It was hard enough trying to move on with your life but not having your parents there to help you is even worse, it was like I was losing all of them. I know I shouldn't be annoyed at the because they were grieving as well but abandoning your other child isn't right, I mean its been 6 months since he died and MY DAD STILL CAN'T LOOK AT ME " I shout, not meaning too.

" Lil, your not gonna be alone this week, I'll come and stay with you and on Saturday we can go to the grave yard and lay flowers on Cory's grave . How does that sound ?"

" That sounds good Ash, your the best "

" I know" she says as she parks her car in the school car park.

We walk into school together and walk over to our friends. I notice someone new at our group, wonder who he is?

" Ashley,Lily this is Jason Dawson, he just moved here." Calum, Ashley's boyfriend says.

" Nice to meet you, Jason" I say extending my hand. He takes my hand , kissed it then said

"The pleasures all mine "

Before I could say something the bell indicating that first period was about to begin rang. Fun, I have history first....
