Roman's POV

I returned to my office, and closed the door behind me. I didn't know why Naomi had the attitude with me today, but she needs to get over that quick.

It's likes she gives me what I want, and then she doesn't want to touch me after. She won't let me kiss her or anything. I didn't mean to push up on my legislative assistant, but she's hot as hell.

Being the Governor of Florida isn't easy at all. It has it's perks, but it's a lot of long nights. Thankfully, my amazing staff keeps me focused on what I need to do. I had an important meeting with the president of a school board from Orlando. Hopefully, Naomi would have her shit together.

I gathered my notes and clear my mind for the meeting. I respond to a few more emails and then my secretary tell me that my meeting is ready in the conference room. I walk into the conference to see Naomi chatting with Ms. Fox

I extended my hand to her and smiled warmly. "Thank you for coming Ms. Fox. It's truly a pleasure to have you hear today. I've see you've gotten Aquitant with Ms. Naomi Knight. So, there are some issues down in your county in Miami?"

"Yessir, as president of school board I am greatly disappointed in the lack of funding we have received in this school year. We really need more funding and as a previous educator I can understand the needs of our children."

"Naomi, has done great research about your school district and your county has received more funding than some of our other counties. Prehaps, the way the funding is allocated is the issue." I said, looking at Alicia.

"There school district is in a low income area Governor Reigns. Statistics shows they need more resources and support. We can have our office send a consultant to review the budget and make recommendations." Noami chimed in. She's such a smart cookie and always thinks on her feet. I don't know what I'd do without her.

"We really are open to all suggestions. We would like a consultant, but we can't afford it right now."

"Nonsense it is our recommendation and we will allocate additional funding to cover that fee." I stated.

The meeting went on for another twenty minutes and Alicia went on to school pictures of all of the schools and talk about the demographics of the students.

"Well, it was a pleasure to meet you Ms. Fox. Naomi will be in touch with you about next steps. Thank you so much and you have my contact info if you have any questions right?" I smiled.

"Of course.. Thank you so much for your time Governor." She shook my hand and did the same with Naomi.

Naomi walked her out of the office and returned to see me.

"I have to say.. You are marvelous. Always on your toes and you always know what to say." I needed her in my arms now. I cornered her against the door. Shit, I was loosing control.

"Thank you.. But I need to get back to my work." She tried to move from my presence, but I wouldn't let her go.

"I didn't say you could go Naomi." I whispered in her ear, and ran my hands along her curvy body. She had me so turned on in that meeting. I love a woman who can handle her own.

"Please, I didn't talk back to you during this meeting. I held my tongue."

I moved her hair back. "Now, why would you need to hold your tongue sweetheart."

Someone knocked on the door, and I quickly moved away from her. "I'm not finished with you yet." I mouthed.

Naomi opened the door, and there stood my old buddy Congressman Mustafa Ali

"Nice to see you again Ms. Naomi." He said, looking at her. His eyes liked to roam and I didn't want to do something I would regret over someone who isn't mine.

"Likewise.. Well I have work to do so..." Naomi practically ran out of the conference room.

"Hey Mustafa! What's going on man?" I asked, wondering what he was doing in Tallahassee.

"Wow, Naomi still looks good. Are you hitting that?" Mustafa said, giving me that look.

I mean gosh I want to so bad, but she plays hard to get. She doesn't need to sleep with me to keep her job because she's a rockstar at what she does. "No, she's off limits. Anyways what brings you here."

"You haven't announced if you're running for reelection and I came to get inside scoop."

"I haven't decided yet. This has been a long journey and I don't know if I have it in me to run again. Why? Are you going to run?"

"Hmm.. It all depends on what you do."

I didn't have time to run against my good friend. Either way I had to make a decision soon. I think I should process my thoughts with Naomi and think things through.

"I'll let you know in the next or so. I have a whole year and a half to really decide. But, either way we need to keep Florida blue."

"I agree completely.. Tell Naomi I said bye." He said, walking out of the conference room. Ugh, people definitely know how to torment me.
