Wind whipped by her face, her dark hair flying in the air, she kept her head down as she rushed through the dark streets. Not a single soul in sight... well that’s what she thought anyways. The light posts were dim and barely gave her any relief from the darkness that seemed to consume her.

She knew rushing home from work at this hour wasn't a very good idea, given the area in which she lived, but she didn't have a choice. Her parents didn't care enough to come get her and her car broke down... once again. Seemed like that old thing was always breaking down on her.

Her mind played tricks on her as she hurried home. Shadows cascading across the road, invisible and imaginary images darting across her vision. She was so busy thinking of all the fake things, she didn't notice the real danger, though she felt it. She felt the nerves stir in the pit of her stomach and couldn't help glancing around looking for the cause, but couldn't find it.

Although he was there; she didn't notice the dark figure watching her. His dark curls falling around his face and slightly into his dark green mischievous eyes. A smirk playing around the edges of his lips as his gaze followed her.  Everything about her had drawn him in, and he knew he had to have he. In due time, he would, he always got what he wanted. And now, he wanted her.

 Grace's Point of View-

I rushed into my small house; I was shaking from the cold. I could barely feel my fingers or the tip of my nose. My teeth were chattering together as I pulled my boots from my feet, my shaking hands struggling to do even that small task. It was absolutely awful outside; the wind was so intense it had nearly pushed me to the ground. Winter was coming soon. Little wisps of snow have already begun to fall from the sky.

I took my time taking the warm coat off of my shivering body. My ugly and disgusting uniform from work on underneath. It was quite filthy and worn, from being handed down from worker to worker for who knows how long. I pulled off my dark blue beanie, which had given me a bit of bed head hair.

I didn't even bother to glance at myself in the mirror before rushing up the stairs and hurrying into the bathroom. Ready to ease my cold and tired body with a warm shower. The cold tiles made my feet even more numb and I rushed to turn on the shower and get the hot water flowing.

Once I stepped in and the burning water was running down my back, I was instantly relaxed. The water soothing my neck and loosening the knots in my back. I smiled in pleasure of this small delight. My head cleared and unlike usual where thousands of thoughts were running through my head, everything was a bit more simple.

I shampooed and conditioned my long brown hair and cleaned my body of all the grime and dirt was left on my body after that damn job. After ten pointless minutes of standing in the water, I managed to force myself out of the shower. I wrapped a thin blue towel around my body, watching the coils of steam float around the bathroom where hot and cool temperatures had met.

I quickly grabbed my clothes, and rushed from the bathroom to my bedroom, being careful to keep my towel up, as not to be seen out of the giant window in the hallway. Beads of water dripping from my hair and splashing nearly silently onto the ground as I made my way into my room, and closed my door. I shut my blinds and turned as many lights on as possible.

I turned on my IPod, so that the familiar music could sooth my frazzled nerves. You see, i'm quite a cautious and paranoid person, so that walk home in the dark had shaken me up a bit. I felt as if someone were watching me. Even though, I knew that it was just my imagination, my mind playing tricks on me... right? I shook my head, trying to block out all bad thoughts. I was inside now and no one would come in to get me, I wasn't worth it.
