"Get it, get it, yah!"

Beyond the shaky camera, she watched. Not from the dancing that was going on, but rather from who was dancing. Despite the seven second long Snapchat video, she could still recognize the white bomber jacket and handmade bracelet of her eighteen year old boyfriend. Much to her disbelief, she also recognized her best friend's curved body, grinding to the beat of the music against said boyfriend. She continued to watch the story silently, wanting to somehow believe that this whole thing wasn't happening.

She tapped the right side of the screen watching as the image began to blur immediately. Charlotte couldn't see what exactly the picture was, but she had a feeling that it wasn't good.  Judging from the entirety of the story, she could safely assume a few things: her boyfriend was a liar, her best friend was a whore and something was going on between them.

Charlotte looked at the clock at the top of her phone silently, reading 3:19 a.m, before switching it off and placing it back on the charger for the night. She wiped the trailing tears off of her cheeks before rolling over in her bed , shutting her eyes and drifting off  into a dream-less sleep.

Charlotte decided that she officially looked like hell.

Scratch that, she looked worse then hell. Lucifer possibly looked better than she did at the moment.

She looked at the dark bags resting underneath her dull eyes and ran her fingers over a few small bumps and freckles laid across her cheeks. She didn't know if she would have enough time to do something to her hair besides blow-drying it, but a sharp yell from the other side of the closed door, sent her into a temporary panic. She slipped on the tile floor, fell and hit her head against the bathroom sink. Charlotte yelped when her head came in contact with the porcelain, but shakily stood back up and walked out of the bathroom, hair still partially wet.

Once dressed and hair put in a bun, she checked her phone while slinging her book bag over her shoulder. She had gotten some messages from the previous night, asking her to look at Anika's Snapchat. Little did any of them know that she had already seen it earlier that morning and did not want to see it again. Moreover, she didn't want to see either of them ever again, but she knew that she would never have the heart to say something.

Charlotte walked down the stairs leading into the kitchen to grab something to drink. She waved at her mother, grandmother and baby sister and each gave them a kiss on the cheek.

"Well don't you look nice," her grandmother smiled. "Only one more year and you'll finally be a college freshman. Are you ready?"

She nodded and put on a smile, picking up her baby sister. "Yeah, it'll be good to finally get out of the state and into different places around the country for once. Just have to wait on my transcripts to be sent."

"My baby girl is finally a senior!" her mother pulled her and her baby sister into a tight hug. "I can still remember when you were Brooklyn's age. Small and cute. What happened?"

Charlotte shrugged silently and placed a soft kiss on her baby sister's cheek, smiling genuinely when the ten month old released a soft, gummy smile in return. Maybe she was a little nervous, considering that there was going to be a huge jump in responsibilities and her life was continuing to change at a rapid pace.  Seeing the innocence in her baby sister's eyes showed her that she wasn't as naive as her sister and had to do more growing up.

She placed her little sister back in her walker, watching as she walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. Charlotte picked up her phone off of the kitchen table, seeing that she only had a few minutes to walk before she was going to miss her bus.
