Chap. 9 - Friends?! (Pt. 2)

3rd Person POV

The girls spent half of the school day  uncomfortable with the Hitachiin twins being comfortable around the girls.

The Zambrano twins were aware of the problem; figuring out a way to apologize to Haruhi. They know what they did wrong to her. They spent most of their morning thinking of a way to apologize.

Time went by so fast, it was already lunch time. Still, the girls couldn't think of a way to say sorry.

While getting ready for lunch and trying to avoid Haruhi, she noticed and called the girls over, worried that something might've happened with the twins yesterday. She even invited Fern and Flora over at their table for lunch.

The Zambrano's couldn't say no and followed her to the cafeteria.

I wonder what'll happen?

Haruhi's POV

I see Fern and Flora walk through the halls into the next class, as if they're ignoring everyone today. I wanted to talk to them about yesterday, about why they just left like that.

So I just waited and waited until I got the chance to see them.

-= LUNCH =-

As I was walking down the hall to eat lunch at the cafeteria, I see Fern and Flora heading this way. Although, I don't think they noticed me.

"Fern! Flora!" I said as ran up to them, "Do you guys wanna eat lunch with me? The entire Host Club is waiting in the cafeteria."

They looked hesitant as I waited for their answer, and finally said yes.

"Then follow me!" I said while grinning.

I look around to where our friends were sitting and lead the girls there. Once we reached the table, I took a seat in between Tamaki and Hikaru. There were were two open seats infront of the twins, but Fern and Flora looked hesitant to sit there. Kyoya patted the empty seats next to him gesturing the girls to sit down, and they did as they were told.

It was dead silent. I looked over at the twins and they were barely interacting. So I broke the silence.

"So.. how are you girls adjusting to the school?"

Flora's POV 

Fern shot her head up from chewing and replied, "We're doing ok-"

"You mean YOU are doing ok" I cut her off. She rolled her eyes.

"Why is that?" Hani asked while scarfing down his cake topped with cream cheese icing and red velvet insides...

Wiping away the drool, I replied. "Eh, a lot of things have been happening recently I guess."

"Like what," Tamaki asked with curiosity. He picked up the silverware and started cutting through his food.

"I don't know. I guess being tied up with this whole mess seems overwhelming." I say while making circular hand gestures above the table.

"Don't you mean making friends?" the twins blurted. Fern and I rolled our eyes and scoffed at their remarks.

"Um, sure.." Fern said, "though if you keep talking like that, we might as well leave." The table went quiet and was filled with people chewing on their food.

"Seems like you four don't really get along. Why don't we all go someplace fun and get to know each other more?" Tamaki spoke.

"Depends," my sister and I stated, "where will we go?"

Kyoya looked hesitant, but immediately suggested a place. "We can try one of my family's amusement park. I think that's a good place to start."

Fern and I groaned, but everyone else agreed to it. We didn't particularly like amusement parks, more of because there are usually a lot of people and waiting in line isn't usually our thing.

"Then that settles it. We're going to the amusement park at 12 pm sharp during the weekend.. as friends!" Tamaki exclaimed as he raises a fist in the air. I sighed, thinking about what we got ourselves into.

I mean, we don't have to go, right? We can just say that we are and stay home during the weekend. I can watch my spongebob and eat some popcorn. Maybe bother Fern or...

"Don't even think about secretly staying home," Kyoya said while pushing up his glasses , "I'll have some drivers wait in front of your house."

Crap! He totally read my mind. Is he psychic? Probably..

...

Wait. Does he know where we live?!

-= LATE IN THE NIGHT =-

Hikaru's POV

I was laying in the same bed as Kaoru thinking about Fern and Flora. I don't know how I feel about them yet, if I'm warming up to them or not. At first, I just wanted to cause trouble for calling us perverts, but I think that's going overboard, right?

"Hey Hikaru? You awake?" my brother said.

I snapped from my thoughts and replied.

"Thinking about them too, huh?" Kaoru said.

I nodded in the dark, even though I knew he wouldn't see me. Tomorrow's the big day, so I might as well get some rest. I mumbled good night to my brother and turned to my side.

Ahh yes, with a new chapter, I finally update. Interesting things come your way, but don't expect a regular schedule. 😂
