(1) The 'Uneventful' Trip

One Shot

"You ready?" You ask distractedly while checking the back of the car to see if you had forgotten any of the gear you were in charge of.

You hear an affirmative shout from the front porch and you nod acceptingly before standing up and heading to the passenger's seat.

"Alright then! Let's do this!" You cheer on happily, watching him place the rest of the equipment into the trunk from the rear view mirror.

He gets in the driver's seat, starts the car and then the both of you high five as the journey began.

About 10 minutes into the drive you look up from your phone with a giddy smile.

"I can't believe we're actually going fishing!" you exclaim, bouncing restlessly in your seats as you laughed brightly.

He shoots you one of his silly looks. "Yeah? Are you 'hooked' on it?" He says waggling his brows.

You groan. "...Jin. Don't..." you mumble while sinking into your seat.

He laughs harder. "Whale fine then...but you're being quite the buzzkill...Oh well...If you can think of a better pun, let minnow" he says, cracking himself up and you embarrassedly cover your face, trying to block him out.

He finally had enough and stops at the look on your face. "ㅋㅋㅋ 어차피 너의 오빠 너무 최고 그쳐? (Hahaha. Anyways your oppa is the best right?)" He responds haughtily to your earlier statement, with a smug side glance.

You decided that just for today you might as well humor him.

"응 응 맞아... (yup yup you're right...)" you say cheekily and lift up your phone before he could rub it into your face. "이거 봐! (Look at this!)"

He shakes his head, knowing what you were trying to do, but grabs your phone anyways at the next red light. You see him scroll through the pictures and whistle, impressed. "Daaamn. They even do ice fishing in winters. We'll definitely have to go again" he promises.

You smirk and nod. "As long as you're paying" you reply jokingly and he scoffs while shooting you a look. "What are you talking about, I ALWAYS pay" he argues weakly and you laugh.

"Mhmmm. You mean like that dinner you paid for. Oh and of course the last time we went hiking too right?" You bring up sarcastically and he scowls at your point.

"...shut up..." he mumbles, keeping his eye on the road and you poke his arm playfully. "Awww sorry Mom, did I offend you?" You tease and continue when he scowls even more.

"If you keep frowning like that you'll keep getting more wrinkles you know? Tch this Old man..." you say in mock seriousness.

He gasps loudly then shoots you a glare. "MORE wrinkles? WRINKLES? I don't have ANY wrinkles and I'm not old you damn brat! Jeez you've been hanging out with JK too much...you two have no respect for older people..." he goes on and you shove your earphones on without him noticing so that you could tune him out.

This successfully went on for a couple more minutes.

"...-going to kick your ass and...HEY ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME" he screams and pulls one of your earbuds out.

You look at him in fake wonder. "What was that? Were you saying something 아저씨? (old man)" you ask innocently and he huffs in annoyance before tugging onto your ponytail in response.

You grimace at the sharp pull and glare at him. "...You know what. I take that back you're not an old man...

he smiles triumphantly, thinking that he won.
