She locked the door behind her and closed the balcony doors locking them also. She pulled the curtains over them and sat on her bed in the dim light. She isolated herself from the rest of the people and world. She didn't want this anymore. The pain. The torture. The blood. It was all just too much for her. She didn't know when Daniel would be back, but she had to get out of here just for a little while. She got up and changed. She grabbed Daniel's dagger and wrote a note.
Dear Daniel,
I will be back soon. I just need to think for a while. When you come back I likely won't be here, but I'll be back. I promise.
Love, Marie.
She sighed and set it on his bed. She went to the balcony and jumped. She landed and walked into the woods.
