4. Familiarizing

"May the first event of the games begin!"

Juvia, Gajeel, Totomaru, Aria and Lily all stood in their balcony, watching Sol stand amongst the others, as the magic of the games created a town in which multiple decoys of their competitors were all placed.

Sol smirked and stared at his competitors; none of which stood out that much, bar one individual; a man in a feathered hat, long blond hair, and a mask covering his face.

"It's a hide-and seek game." Lily stood on the balcony wall to see. The other guild members were say in a crowd underneath their balcony, and watched the other competitors carefully. Never had anybody, bar Aria and their master, been face-to-face with so many different wizards before; an experience that was new to all of them, including Gajeel and Juvia, who rarely took jobs in cities and busy places.

"With Sol's power, it should be easy," Juvia started, just as he dissapeared into the ground and snook up on a female competitor, who fell, losing a point, winning a point for Sol.

The masked Sabertooth member in the big feathered hat, seemed to have the same idea, as he disappeared, appearing on the roof of a building.

"Like we're falling for that one again!" The one named Gray Fullbuster yelled.

"On the contrary," he smirked, then yelled a new spell that formed magic circles above each competitor in view, apart from Sol, who was still invisible.

One by one, each magic circle let off powerful lights that burned the competitors underneath. Only Gray Fullbuster and, much to Juvia's demise, Lyon Vastia, jumped out of the way and avoided the attack.

Sol emerged from the ground, and squinted his eyes at the man on the roof. Meanwhile, Lyon ran through the street towards Sol.

"And another point to Gray! Beth from Mermaid Heel is gonna feel that in the morning!"

Sol, as cunning as he was devious, grinned, then, as he saw Lyon come running down the street towards him,  created a perfect decoy of himself in stone. He then dissapeared again into the ground to appear behind a Blue Pegasus member and knock him down.

Lyon, rather confidently, without realising that Sol had already gone, created a huge ice snake that hurled itself towards the decoy. After hitting what Lyon thought was Sol, he was knocked back and the decoy broke into tiny stones. Lyon lost a point and was teleported to a different location.

"Phantom Lord's Sol is one point behind Rufus!" The commentators exclaimed, as though it was the biggest miracle they'd ever heard.

Rufus surveyed the area, before leaping to the ground.

"What magic is he using?" Juvia asked Aria. Aria smirked.

"I'm not sure."

But their questions were soon answered, as the man said; "Memory make, electrocution!", that sent three more points his way.

Meanwhile, Sol deviously avoided Gray's ice sword spell and sent rocks hurling his way.

Away from hearing range, Sol laughed at his attacker, then smirked."Ah, what an interesting memory you have. I'll be sure to mention it to my friend Juvia."

"Who? Quit talkin' to me, you Phantom Lord scum."

"Come now, just because we're enemies doesn't mean we can't enjoy a light conversation to make things more interesting."

As he said that last word, he sent boulders flying towards Gray, who tried to freeze them as quickly as he could, only to be completely buried in them seconds later.
