Perfection
Perfection,
a word which many strive to be.
A word that can cause anxiety,
Inside you and me.
Our parents always tells us
to strive for perfection,
But why strive for it when you know well that there is no such thing.
A world that judges you by how you walk, talk, sit, and even dress,
A world where you have to pretend to be someone else for people to like you.
A world where perfection is
based on people's physical features,
Not talents nor personalities,
Just based off, of a simple picture,
That I'm pretty sure is photoshopped.
So why strive for perfection when nobody is perfect?
Why strive for something that you know even Beyoncé or Jlo can't achieve?
I know it's hard to believe
That everyone has their imperfections,
You just gotta accept them,
And make them your own.
And become your
true imperfect little self.
