I'm woken up by the sound of my phone ringing. I try to blink my eyes open.
"Hello?" I answer trying not to sound like a dying frog.
"Hey Candy, wake up" I hear Alex, one of my bestfriends.
"...Okay, I'm awake... I'll call you when I'm close to the airport, okay?" I almost whisper
"Okay dude"
"Bye"
I let a huge yawn out and get out of bed. I put on my clothes and walk in my bathroom to brush my teeth and do my hair/make up. I decided to dress comfy today since it's gonna be a really long flight. I chose a pair of tight, but comfy boyfriend jeans with a tie dye loose tank top and my old black Vans. I decide to straighten my long blonde hair and let them down. As for my make up, I go with a simple, natural look: a small amount of foundation and compact powder, little bit of shimery eyeshadows, mascara and a natural colored lipstick.

Okay, once I'm done, I go downstairs to see my mom already ready and packing some food for me to eat on the plane.
"Mom! I told you, there's gonna be food served on the plane, you didn't have to do this..." I say with a warm tone in my voice
"Oh come on! It's gonna be a long flight, I don't want you to be hungry" my mom says
"Uhh, okay, come on, you're ready to go? I don't wanna be late!" I say
I call my brother, Travor to get his ass downstairs so we can go!

Almost an hour later we finaly get to the airport! I see Kate, Alex and Lisa at the check-in section. Lisa and Alex are boyfriend and girlfriend and their both my oldest friends.
"Yooo" I scream when I see them
"Heyyy what took you so long?" Kate asked as I was hugging them all one by one.
"Uuuum, traffic..." I make an excuse for taking too long to get ready.
"Mmm yeaaah sure..." Lisa is making fun of me
"Hehe, come on, let's go through check-in, we can't be late guys"
Once we do all the check-in process it's time for me to say goodbye to my mom and brother.
"Alright sis, you be careful out there, okay?" Travor says and I'm about to cry, but don't show it
"Yeah, yeah" I say trying to hide my sadness. I love my brother so much.
"You're gonna call us everyday?" my mom says tearing up
"Yes, mom, don't worry. And we're gonna Skype, okay? You can actually see me, Travor is gonna show you how it works, okay?" I say to her
"Okay"
"Okay, bye you guys!" I say
"Call us when you land okay?"
"Okay mom!"
We hug one last time and I follow my friends through the departures. I wave at my family for one last time and smile.
Once we get on the plane I put on my headphones on and listen to some music to relax cause I'm a little bit afraid of planes, but I have Kate next to me to tell me stupid jokes everytime I ask her to, so it's okay!
