richard knew how people treated his kind. His kind. He knew about his kind's past. Their past. Yet, he just couldn't find it in himself to hate them. He realized how they hurt his kind without reason. He wasn't stupid, no matter what anyone thinks. His mother told him this. richard just couldn't rationalize with the fact that every human was 'evil'. He's met humans who weren't evil. At least his idea of what evil was.

He knew some PEOPLE were evil.

But he's met at least one human who didn't try to kill him right on sight, but....that might not count since they didn't know he was a darker being. But he didn't want to believe humans were entirely evil because that would be like giving up. And he didn't give up. His parents never gave in to anything so, why should he?

This logic had obviously stuck with him throughout his time after his parents died. He shook his head. No, not 'died-because-of-a-fatal-accident' the correct term would be 'murdered'. He knew they were murdered. He was there! If he didn't account to a witness the police were terrible. Or they ignored that fact on purpose...The more he thought about it the more that seemed to be the case. All the cops were humans so, the murder of a few darker beings would go unnoticed or uncared for by them. He growled lightly. Stupid, stupid humans!

Yeah, humans could be stupid. Just not evil.

He believed the man who killed his parents was evil, though. Completely.

But as the city lamps flickered on and off as he noiselessly walked the streets of his new home and watched the remaining humans in restaurants through windows he couldn't help but think that not all humans are evil. If they were there would be no life. Right?

Nobody glanced at him. He wasn't invisible, but he was hiding his ears and tail for a reason. To not attract attention. richard wasn't about to kill himself on the first day. He worked too hard for that.

He glanced upwards. The sky was fully shrouded in a black mist of clouds and turmoil. Sighing, he realized his one problem: nowhere to go. Sure, he made it to his destination, but he had nowhere to go now. He needed some place to stay. Of course, there were motels and hotels, but that would attract too much unnecessary attention. The people who were tracking him were good at their job.

So, he took the best course of action he knew of....wander aimlessly until something happens. Yup, that'll help things.

"My God! I just wanted BREAD! The fuck is wrong with you people?!"

"You don't get bread from us you demon!" It's. just. BREAD!!!!!

"Yeah! Piss off!" Piss off?! Oh, I'll show you to PISS OFF!!!!!!

Jason's eyes practically enunciated his venom as he viciously bit his next words, "Demon?! Oh, BuDdY, I'm no demon. You ever learned the term BLOOD-sucker?! For fuck's sake! Are you brain dead?! Eh, doesn't change the fact your blood's gonna be delicious...."

The two men inside the bakery visibly paled as Jason's already demonic smile grew two larger canines. In a blink of an eye bloody torture unfurled. In the end, Jason's teeth glinted with the remains of red and the necks of the humans as well.

"Hahahaha!" He leaned against the blood splattered counter, "Now I'm bored. What should I-"

"Hey!"

Jason's attention veered from his new plans of action to the bestower of the new voice. His previous blood-lustful eyes shifted upwards to look at the kid standing in the doorway. All Jason could tell was, besides from the kid's physical appearance, was that he wasn't in the best financial situation (his clothes sucked dicks), he didn't have any relatives or parents close by (no other smells besides his own were on him), and he didn't come from around here. Jason couldn't tell much, but this guy wasn't human.
