The serie was produced by Selena Gomez for Netflix. She is based on Jay Asher's book '13 reasons'.
To summarize the plot, there is Hannah Baker' story (played by Katherine Langford) who committed suicide after being harassed. Before dying, Hannah has recorded 13 tapes that explain the reasons and the persons who are the cause of her suicide. During the 13 episodes we follow Clay Jensen (played by Dylan Minette) which has just received all the tapes. He discovers, tape after tape, episode after episode, what happened in the last weeks of Hannah's life.
The serie affected me a lot, may even be disturbed. I've never been victim of harassment but she affected me because she shows the fierceness of young people once their "prey" is found and lack of reaction of people who can help. I use 'prey' because it's the first picture which came in my mind while I was watching the serie seeing stalkers as hunters and Hannah as an animal prey.
I really think this serie can help harassed people who don't talk about this. Everybody should watch this serie.
