It was a rainy Thursday in the middle of Summer, when I decided it was time to go out for a while. I thought of different outdoor activities that I could do during spring break, which started this weekend. There’s swimming, sports, picnic, camping, endless options. I chose to go camping, because I haven’t gone in a long time. Should I invite my friends? Yeah, otherwise I’ll be lonely. I called my best friends, Joel, Toby, Jack, and Tyler. They were all able to come. So it was settled! We would go camping after school on Friday. We decided to meet at my house after college.
Oh, I haven’t introduced myself. How rude of me! My name is Mercedes. I am 24 years old and I go to Stockholm University in Stockholm, Sweden. I am very short for my age, standing at a tiny 5 feet tall. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and some acne. I my friends consider me pretty funny. I’m a pretty nice person until you give me a reason to not like you. Most of my friends are boys, because there is less drama. I think that’s enough about me. Let’s continue the story.
**Fast forward to Friday Morning**
I woke up at 6:47am and got out of bed reluctantly. I wanted coffee, but I was too lazy to make it myself. I lived about ten minutes away from Starbucks, so I figured I could drive there. It was 7:00 now, and I figured I could drive to Starbucks and back which would take approximately 25 minutes, then come home and get dressed and put on my makeup and still have about 10 minutes before school started! I drove to Starbucks, got my coffee and came home. I was putting on my clothes when I got a phone call.
“Hello?” I asked.
“Hey! It’s Toby, and I was wondering if Grace could come camping with us? I talked to her and she said she’d help us set up camp.”
“I don’t know...” I replied.
“Come on Mercy, Don’t be a partypooper!”
“I guess..” I said reluctantly.
“Awesome!”
