The next morning was Moonbeam's birthday, he became 3 years old. Happy birthday, Moonbeam! No one said that to him ever. The witch didn't even come to the barnyard when she knew it was Moonbeam's birthday. But this day was a special day. Not for Moonbeam, but for the witch. She ususally sacrifices an animal when it reaches 3 years.

You can ask why Molly wasn't sacrificed. Well, the witch found her when she was already five.

Now, Moonbeam was playing in the barnyard. Suddenly, he saw the witch coming towards him with a knife. A flash came onto Moonbeam's mind about the knife. His birth; Margaret was screaming because she just couldn't give birth to her son, because he was bigger if being a horse. So the doctor used the knife, but at the same time he hurt Moonbeam's face when trying to cut Margaret.

The witch was ready to cut Moonbeam and eat him. But he was just a little horse of 3 years old, so he ran out of the barnyard and got into the little garden where he was playing in those sunny days. It was a sunny day too, but darker than before, because the witch was running towards the horse to cut him. Molly was just watching from the barnyard: she knew there was no way to help Moonbeam.

He was still running but in front of him was the fence, in the left was the fence, in the right, again, the fence. So he just thought that facing his fear of forests is better than dying, so he jumped over the fence into the deep woods. The witch became so nervous that she was ready to jump and catch Moonbeam, but she couldn't: he already got lost in the deepness of that forest.
