Gordie and Ellie laid side by side as the summer sun shined through the window.
Gordie rubbed his thumb over Ellie's. El sighed and Gordie noticed.
"What's wrong El?" Gordie locked eyes with her and furrowed his brows.
"Nothing I - I it's nothing" El frowned.
"No seriously" he smiled lightly at El and she nodded.
"No it's just that I miss everybody. I miss that summer we spent together with them" El sighed once more.
"Who?" Gordie questioned El.
"You know Vern, Teddy, Summer and Chris" Ellie lips tugged upwards at the thought of that summer.
"Well it's not that bad you still have Summer and I still have Chris" Gordie tried to make things seem better.
"Yea but it's not the same" El frowned.
"Hey Listen the only thing that's matters is that we have each other" Gordie smiled at Ellie and she softly giggled.
"I love you Gordie" she giggled once more. Gordie kissed her forehead and mumbled I love you too
