Emily Sanders (P.O.V)

Blackness surrounded me. Wrapping around me like a blanket only instead of warming me it made me cold. I was frightened. Was I dead? No. I would have seen my mom by now. Where was I then? I didn't know. That was what frightened me. Not being able to see where I was, or smell anything. The place was deathly quiet. All of my senses were cut off. The only knowledge I had of my surroundings was that it was cold. Suddenly I felt as if I was being sucked into a tunnel. A bright white light lit up wherever I had been. I had regained my senses. The air smelled heavenly and light on my skin warmed me. My surroundings had changed as well. Somehow I ended up in a field. The high grass licked my ankles and there were flowers clumped in groups dancing in the wind.

"Emily!" A voice I would know anywhere shouted. Mom. I couldn't see her.

"Mom, mom where are you? " I asked. I was so grateful to hear her voice.

"You can't see me honey, it's not your time yet. Oh honey I'm so sorry for what Jeff put you through I never thought he would get violent with you."

"Mom it's not your fault, don't blame yourself." I said gently. I knew she always tried to do what was best for me even if that was to become Jeff's punching bag.

"We don't have much time." She announced. "Listen Emily you're in good hands now don't fight them. They're not going to hurt you trust them they will keep you protected."

"Mom what do you mean?" I asked confused.

"The werewolves aren't going to hurt you. Trust them and don't run." She stated. "And you have to say hi and I love you to your father for me."

"What do you mean mom. I don't know my father." I asked. Then it hit me. "Is he one of the werewolves?"

"No, I can't tell you any more than that. You will know him when you see him though." She answered her voice and the light was getting dimmer. The cold started to return.

"Remember don't fight them honey and I love you." Those were her last words to me before the darkness returned and my senses were dimmed once again.

Jayden Mansfield (P.O.V)

"She's crashing!" someone shouted and I was forced out of the room. I could hear the machines screeching. I wanted so bad to run back into the room. If it wasn't for my beta and gamma I would have. Male doctors were touching her.

"Jay, they're trying to help her." John my beta said. "She'll die without them. There from the pack, you know they'll never hurt her."

I snapped out of my trance. I relaxed and they let go. They didn't relax though. They were waiting for me to try to get back in the room. I made myself sit down. My beta and gamma relaxed.

"She's going to be ok you know. I can tell she's a fighter. So don't worry." My gamma Luke said.

The shrill of the machines cut off all the sudden. A steady beeping that symbolized her heart beat took the alarms place.

"See she's a fighter. She's fine. Now go see her and stop stressing out Jay." He said and pushed me back towards the room.

The darkness wasn't as bad as it had been. It wasn't as cold or as scary partially because I knew I wasn't going to get hurt by the wolves partially because I could hear a voice from the outside world and my lion kept me company. She said her name was Nallah (idk if I spelled that right) which I thought was funny because that's the name of the cub on lion king. I used to watch the movie all the time when I was younger. We could actually talk to one another unlike when I was awake which I found particularly amusing. I mean a lion talking. Well it wasn't really talking it was really telecommunicating she never opened her mouth and spoke the words.

"Nallah? Who's our father?" I asked.

"I'm afraid I don't know. I've lived life with you and just like you I don't know." She answered

"Oh Ok. How long have I been out?"

"Well you're just a curious one aren't you. You are aware 'curiosity killed the cat' right? I don't particularly want to die." she exclaimed playfully. I smiled at her playfulness.

"Ha ha. Seriously how long?" I said.

"Three weeks and you'll be waking very soon." She answered. After that we lapsed into a long comfortable silence.

"Nallah will we be able to talk to each other when I wake up?" she had become more like a friend that a part of me.

"I've always been able to talk to you but only in shifter form. All I can do when you're in human form is send impulses. "She replied. "I never communicated with you before because I haven't had the need. You are a smart girl Emily. I'm glad I got you as my vessel. I don't know what I would do if I got a stupid person."

I felt relieved.

"Talk to me more often please." I requested.

"Of course I will." She replied. "It's time for you to wake up now. Just open your eyes."

I did what she asked of me. Struggling I got my eyes open to see the aquamarine gems that were the alphas eyes.

===================================================================

Ok dont kill me. I have had a really bad year. In 2011 I had to attend six funerals and one of those was my grandpas. I was REALLY close to him. I also had a scare when I began to think I had Lupus. A deadly disease of the connective tissues. (joints are connective tissue.) Lupus runs in families and usally skips every other generation. My grandmother on my dads side died from Lupus. Luckaly I tested negitive but it still could be rheumatoid arthritis which also runs in my family. My RA levels were high normal meaning I might have it I may not. I will be retested this summer. I have also had lots of friend drama. So please understand why I haven't posted in a year. Believe me I've tried. On another note I really dont like this chapter. I had a better one written but my computer broke and they wiped its memory so I lost it. If you guys don't like it I can think up something else just tell me if you like it.
