Kang shin made it back to the house, his mind on gladis opening the door he expected to see gladis alone but instead he saw her and his parents who weren't suppose to back till tomorrow but here they are seated in his living room glaring at gladis "mom, dad what are you both doing here I thought you guys would be here by tomorrow" he asked softly noticing his mother's glare "who is she?"his mother Lee kang sulie asked pointing at gladis wanting to know why a black girl was in her sons house "she's my girlfriend and soon to be wife"kang shin answered shocking his mother and father and a now passed out gladis. Kang shin picked gladis up and placed her in their room and went back to living room to his parents. "Look I love gladis and she's everything I want, need so understand that I'm not leaving her or letting her go and if you can't understand that then there's the door"kang shin said his voice full of confidence as he made eye contact with his now fuming mother "I will not allow my son to marry a black girl and ruin the family's name. I want that girl out of this house and I forbid you from seeing her ever again do you hear me" his mother shouted kang shin loved his mother he listens to her and does everything she says he adore his mother but to tell him to give up the one he loves was something he'd never do not even for his mother. "No, and get out" kang shin said stunning both his mother and father, leaving them as he head to his office.

Kang shin knew in every Korean family the first son always marries a Korean girl and he would if gladis wasn't in the picture but she is and he loves her there was no letting her go ever. Both his parents left kang sulie arguing with her husband as to why he didn't talk some sense into there son. But the only reply she got from her husband is that he liked Gladis and she good for there son making Lee kang sulie angry at both her son and husband. If her son wasn't going to get rid of Gladis she was going too and she had the perfect plan to get rid of her all sulie would need to do is make her son and husband see that she'd come to terms with the idea of her son marrying a black girl.

Knocking on kang rhee door gladis entered getting right to the point she apologized for accidentally burning her uniform letting her know that it wasn't on purpose just an accident. Which kang Rhee also apologize for locking her outside in the pouring rain. They hug it out laughing at how silly the situation was. Since there now on good terms Gladis asked kang Rhee if she wanted to have slumber party her brothers included. Pajamas on, popcorn ready and a scary in, it was time to get this party started kang shin snuggled up to Gladis as she struggled to get out his arms but give up and found comfort in his arms as the movie started playing. By the end of the movie gladis was shaking an requested a more fun movie be put on next. As all fell asleep watching white chicks. Next day things were perfect that was until kang shin parents come by

"What are you guys doing here?"kang shin asked his parents in a less friendly tone "son your mother has something she'd like to say"Lee kang min, kang shin father said "I'm sorry, it's was wrong of me to tell you who to marry and I will learn to accept Janis into this family"kang sulie said "it gladis and thank you it means allot to me mom"kang shin replied pulling his mother into a hug "so where is this gladis?" Sulie asked ready to get down to business "she's in the kitchen" kang shin answered like a woman on a mission kang sulie entered the kitchen seeing her daughter and gladis icing cupcakes clearing her throat sulie got there attention kang Rhee running into her mother's arms, gladis smiling at the scene before her. She too miss her mom, gladis felt homesick and knew she needed to escape but being here just felt right. Sending her daughter out the kitchen sulie motioned she wanted to talk to Gladis. Resting both hands on the counter kang sulie glared at gladis getting right to the point sulie and said "I don't like you and I want you out my sons house. I have a plan to help you leave but do you accept my offer?" with that cold impassive expression on her face knocking the breath out of gladis finally she could go home
