John's pov

I heard that we were getting a new student, so I dressed decently, I looked at my new camera, I still can't believe Preston got it for me. I drove to school quickly and got into my locker, but before I could get anything out it was slammed shut" oh sorry did I shut that?" I heard the sarcasm in their voice, I looked over at the new kid" are you the new kid?" he had red hair and brown eyes" yeah I am, what's it to you cutie?" I blinked at him" uh I would prefer if you didn't call me..cutie" he got really close to me" but why? Surly a cute guy like you would love a compliment?" I felt really uncomfortable with the guy" names Red by they way, but you can call me yours" I pushed him away from me and ran to class, my heart beating(the  hell is wrong with him, couldn't he tell I was uncomfortable) I took my seat, pulled my hood over my head and laid my head in my arms" John? Are you okay babe?" I looked up at him, and just as he sat down I wrapped him in a hug" woah, okay what's wrong with you?" I didn't want to speak, I just wanted him to hold me" I'll tell you at lunch" he nodded and smiled at me, I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and sat back down in my seat. Once class began, he walked into the room" Class this is our new student Michael Steves, tell us about your self" he locked eyes with me and grinned" I prefer to be called Red" I felt so uncomfortable with him looking at me" well Red just take a seat behind John, John raise your hand" I did as instructed and he walked past me and put a slip of paper on my desk, I shivered before opening it........it had his number, I glanced behind me, he winked at me and I teared up the paper, his face was clearly one of shock, but I didn't care as long I had Preston near me" Why Was that new kid staring at you?" I sighed telling him I would talk at lunch.

Preston's pov

It was almost lunch, me and John didn't have forth period together, I asked if I could use the restroom, the teacher said that I could and I walked to the nearest bathroom. Locking the stall I did my thing, but someone else entered, I could tell by his voice it was John" oh god what am I going to do? This new kid just won't leave me alone" I listened closely" first he flirts with me and gets a little to close, then he gives me his number, and then starts asking me if I want to go on a date with him!" my blood boiled" I have to find some way of telling him no, do Preston doesn't hurt the him.....i mean Red doesn't know I'm dating anyone........i might as well just tell him I'm not interested and would like to be friends instead....yeah that would work out for everyone" I smiled, he's so kind hearted to other people. It was lunch time and I found John easily.....but red was talking to him, and I saw John's discomfort" Hey guys what's up?" Adam was holding back laughter and Ross was wide eyed" I'm Red, aren't you in my first period?" I nodded" yes I am.....I can't help but notice that you have your arm wrapped around John's shoulders, why is that?" John looked like he was very grateful for what I was doing" well I'm trying to get this cutie pie to go out with me, but he doesn't want to" I chuckled" well he has a boyfriend, so I can see why he wouldn't want to date you" he paled slightly but seemed confident" well his boyfriend isn't here right now so" I put my food down and glared at him" I'm his boyfriend and I don't like that you've been making him uncomfortable, remove your arm, get your lunch and sit on the other side of the table, and if I get wind that your flirting with him again, I will hurt you" he paled but did as told, and John wrapped his arms around me" oh thank god you didn't hurt him" I kissed his head quickly
as he turned to face Red" look red.....i may not like you in that way but I'm wiling to have you as a friend" his eyes widened" really? Umm okay, I'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable though" John smiled at him" all shall be forgiven" I wrapped an arm around his waist pulling him close to me, what a day.
