First of all, let me apologize for not uploading a story in along time; I was very lazy.
So, I have decided to enter this story into the Watty's 2012 after much internal debate with myself. This means that Unwelcome Musician will be on hold until this story is finished. Just to let you know now. Enjoy! :)
The picture is the guy that I chose to play Andrew: Gaspard Ulliel

Chapter 1: A Positively Positive Personality
I looked out the window to see that the sun was peeking through the clouds, trying to bring its light to the citizens of Manhattan while I sat at the dining table with the box of paper that Riley had bought me, a pen, and an envelope with the address and information that Riley told me last night before he had left.
December 7th, 2003
Riley,
Well, it's really only been three days since you left for Afghanistan, but I can't believe how much I miss you already. It feels like so much more since I don't think that we've ever been this far apart from each other since we started our relationship in tenth grade.
I'm also pretty sure that you won't get this letter for a while, maybe for a week or so, but I just thought that I'd send it anyway so that you'll know that I'm thinking about you, but you already know that.
I regret the fact that your parents bought this apartment, though, since now I'm all alone without you by my side, so I'm still trying to get used to that. I just hope that the adoption papers will work out so that we can finally be the parents like we had always dreamed of being. But don't worry, no one could ever replace you in my heart.
Things at work seem to be going just fine. Just writing more articles as they assign them to me, I just wish that they gave me different articles rather than the same ones about murders, suicide bombers, The Terminator and Finding Nemo, and iTunes.
Uh...there isn't too much else that I have to tell you since you've been gone, so I guess I'll end my letter here. Respond when you get a chance, but take your time because I'll always be willing to wait for you.
Love with lots of oxoxox,
Andrew
I sealed my letter into the envelope and went outside to put it in the mailbox and then headed back up to the apartment like the recluse hermit that I was. I even turned on my computer and went to check my emails; I seriously had no life without Riley. It seemed as though all I did was write my articles, write to Riley, and then mope around like a lost puppy.
I was busy deleting the constant and annoying spam that was beginning to fill up my inbox until I heard a small ding sound from the computer. I frowned as I let my eyes wander over to the small flashing icon on the side of the screen. I clicked it and twiddled my thumbs as I noticed that it was an IM from Courtney McDonald.
How are you doing?
Fine, I guess. I replied; I didn't have anything to say. It's not like I disliked Courtney, she was probably one of my only friends in this city. It's not like I hate people or anything like that, it's just that I was a reserved person in comparison to her wild and outgoing personality, so people often wondered how she was my friend. I liked to think of our friendship as the best of both worlds.
So I'm really bored right now; would you mind if I asked you to go shopping with me?
I hesitated a bit. I enjoyed shopping only because it meant that I would get to spend more time with Riley since he liked to go look for new electronic devices frequently, but there was never anything that I would ever buy...except the groceries.
