Margaret's POV
Never in my life have I been more embarrassed than this moment. I jumped off of him faster than one would view to be humanly possible.
"I'm sorry." He whispers, smiling this ridiculously captivating crooked half smile.
"You're not." I whisper back. My cheeks are burning from the horror.
"Woah, woah. Don't let me interrupt." The blonde girl leads in through the door with a brunette and together they walk into the kitchen, arms full with brown paper bags of groceries. The blonde is very lean and about my height, her skin is very fair. The brunette is very tall and curvy, her hair is pixie like, and very dark.
"I'm Jules." The blonde announces with this big, bright and warm smile.
"Margaret. It's a pleasure to meet you." I'm doing my best to stifle my embarrassment but it's easier said than done.
"Are you wearing my clothes?!"
I knew this was an awful idea.
Her tirade continues, "who do you think you are? I don't even know you! Take them off now!"
Harry's eyes are wide with shock and I'm sure I'm accompanying him with the deer in headlights look. Wow what a first impression.
"I'm just kidding." Her and the brunette break out into a massive laugh.
"Oh my god." I mutter, pushing my still damp hair back behind my ears.
I try to laugh to avoid seeming so phased by her little joke but it's not easy. Regardless of that.. Why did two girls just come through the door? Why is Harry's roommate a girl?
"I'm sorry, that was mean. It's really nice to meet you, in all honesty you fill my clothes out way better than I do, I just had to poke a little fun since I came home to you on top of my best friend."
"Jules, just stop talking. Can you guys leave, please?" Harry interjects.
"Nope. We'll be here all night, but we're going to my room. You can put away the groceries." She sticks her tongue out at me and leads her brunette friend away.
"I'm Beena, Jules' girlfriend." The brunette stops in front of me to shake my hand.
"It's really nice to meet you." I stand up to properly greet her and my head is spinning. What the hell just happened here?
I sit back down and the two girls scurry off to the left side of the flat shutting the door behind them. I'm sure they're talking about me. I'm so beyond embarrassed.
"That was easily the most mortifying moment of my life." I tell Harry.
"That's just her. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that anyway. I don't want to move too fast." He plays with his bottom lip between his fingers and stands up to stow away the groceries.
"Not it's fine. I'm just a little... Taken back?" I question myself but stand up to help him.
"By what? Oh, Jules? She's gay." His bluntness sets me back even further but my confused look tells him to go on.
"Yeah I mean I would've brought it up but that's pretty awkward date conversation, 'by the way I have a lesbian roommate' you know?" He says casually holding two boxes of cereal up.
"Oh I don't care, it's not a big deal. I was just confused." My back is turned to him as I stow away a box of sugar in the same cabinet I saw him dispose of the old box from.
"Are you mad about it?" He asks, stacking bottled water in the fridge.
"Of course not. Why would I be? And regardless it's not my place to give unwanted opinions even if I had any." I say
