I jumped out of my bed, excited for the brand new day! Today was officially my first year of fifth grade! I turned ten last year. I was finally two digits! Its a huge accomplishment for me!
I ran to my bathroom and quickly brushed my teeth and then ran to my closet. I opened the two door closet that was built into my wall. It was black.
My whole room was themed black and white.
I had a white sheet with two huge black pillows and a black and white polk-a-dot blanket. I had a clear white curtain that fell down from the roof of my bed. One black bedstand on each side of my bed. My phone played on the right one.
I went to a private school so they had specific uniforms. My mother wants the best for me so she paid for private schools and she already had my college planned out.
My uniform consisted of a blue buttoned down shirt with a white collar and navy blue stockings with a black skirt. The uniform didn't bother me but I still didn't like wearing it.
I tied my hair up with a white bow into a ponytail. I walked over to my bedstand and grabbed my phone.
On the back of it, it had a black case with a bright moon and stars falling down. The night sky was the best thing to look at.
Every night I would climb out of my window and sneak onto the roof and just lay down and stare up at the beautiful sky.
I smiled at the memories and walked out of my room and then ran downstairs as I looked at the light blue walls and the brown roof.
"Morning,"I told my mother as I smiled at her. "Good morning darling,"she replied. My mother was a tall skinny woman. She was 45 and had brown hair that faded into blonde hair. She was almost pale, I was darker and she had blue eyes.
We looked nothing a like. That's because I'm adopted she told me last year. She told me that she didn't know my really name so she called me Allison or Ally for short. Finding my birth parents isn't something I've ever been interested in.
My adoptive father died before I could even meet him but my mother showed me. He had blonde hair and was tan, he died while working for the navy. Even though I didn't know him, I still love him.
Even though they're not my real parents, I still love them to death.
"What's for breakfast?"I asked her as I went over to the dinner table. "Pancakes darling,"My mother replied. "Yes!"I cheered. My mother chuckled lightly at me as she ate down a plate with a stack of pancakes on it. She then kissed me on my forehead as I started eating my pancakes.
When I finished I ran to the front door and grabbed my book back that also had a huge moon with black shooting stars all over it.
"Bye mom!"I yelled as I opened the door and waved. "Bye sweety!"my mother yelled back as she blew a kiss to me and then waved goodbye.
I rushed out the door to the bus stop.
A few others were already by the bus stop waiting for the bus to arrived.
"Hey ally!"someone shouted my name for me to hear. It came from behind me. I turned around and saw it was one of my best friends Carly.
I met her in first grade and she enjoyed the night sky and we became besties after that.
"Carly!"I yelled her name and ran up to her. We hugged each other and then we broke it when I said"I can't believe today has finally came!" "I know right!"Carly replied.
The bus then began to pull up. "Hurry! Or we'll be late for our first day!"I told her as I ran back to the bus and she followed me. We sat all the way in the back together.
"Honestly today is going to be the BEST day EVER!"Carly shouted. "Quiet down back there!"the bus driver shouted at us. We giggled in our seats. "Well there goes our good reputation with the bus driver,"I chuckled. "Yep,"Carly nodded in agreement.
After talking for the entire ride we arrived to the school.
Meanwhile:
Ally's mother got her purse and keys and walked out of her house. She walked over to her car and cranked it up. She pulled out and headed to work.
"Exactly, I just don't know anymore,"her mother told someone on the phone. "Well she's getting older and soon she'll find out on her own,"the lady on the other line replied. "I know but to me she's my daughter, my child, I feel like if I-"the mother's words trailed off. "I know what you mean but you know sooner or later the truth will come out,"the other lady replied. "But she's never been interested in knowing about that,"the mother replied as she turned left. "Do me a favor for me and your daughter and tell her because soon she'll be wanting answers,"the lady replied.
"I know, well see ya later,"the mother replied with a sigh as she hung the phone up and looked down to put her phone away as she turned another left.
The next thing she knew, a firetruck pulled left as she pulled right. The truck hit hit her car's side hard. It was rushing to go somewhere so the impact was hard.
The mother's head slung forward and hit the the stirring wheel, hard. Her head then jerked back on her seat and it revealed her bloody face.
"Someone get help!"someone yelled as they got out of there own car and walked over to the mother.
Back at School:
I laughed at Carly's joke. "Excuse you two but do I need to bring you two to the office?"the teacher threatened us. We furiously shook our heads no. "Good," the teacher replied.
The intercom then went off. "Can I see Ally in the office please,"one of the office women asked. "She's on her way,"the teacher replied. "Take your backpack because next hour is about to start. Everyone said"Ooooo, she's on trouble." I just rolled my eyes and took my bag. "See ya Ally,"Carly told me as she waved goodbye. I waved back and then headed straight to the office.
As I walked up the hallway and saw my aunt standing there with tears in her eyes. "Aunt Sarah?"I asked. "What's wrong?"I asked her as I walked up to her. She hugged me. "You're going to have to sit down to hear this,"my aunt told me. I nodded and sat down in the chair outside of the office.
What's going on? What happened? I just started the day!
"Y-your mom, s-she,"my aunt could barely continue her sentence.
"Is she alright? Where is she?"I asked her. "She's gone,"is all my aunt told me as tears flowed down from her sad eyes. "W-what?"I asked. "She's p-passed a-away,"my aunt told me.
My heart began to beat fast and my breath began to get hard. It was as if I was in tank full of water and I was drowning.
"Ally?"I heard my aunt say. I began to hear people speak. I just stood there frozen and got up and sat my backpack down. I walked pass my aunt and out of the door.
I just stood outside, staring at the sky. My aunt walked put with my backpack. "Lets go back to my house, I need to get a few things,"I told her as I walked to her car without speaking another word.
