From 'Alice's Puzzles Through the Looking Glass'
"Hand round the plum-cake monster!" The lion said, lying down and putting his chin on his paws. "And sit down, both of you." (To the King and the Unicorn): "fair play with the cake, you know!"
Alice seated herself on the bank of the little, with the great dish on her knees, ready to saw away diligently with the knife. The round plum-cake was intended to be divided among Alice, the King, the Lion, the Unicorn, Hatta Haigh and two of the King's hungriest men.
How did Alice give everyone some cake by only making three straight cuts white the knife, and without moving any of the pieces?
