"kid you're my hero, I hate the mets!"

I laughed and signed the elderly man's ball saying,

"me too sir, they passed me up in the draft."

"they sure made a mistake there, rookie of the year!"

i laughed and handed him back the ball,

"have a good night sir."

"you too kid."

"would you mind signing my jersey, Corey?"

I turned to face the all to familiar voice to see Quinn, Stella's younger brother.

"of course Quinn, god you look so grown up you're making me feel old."

I laugh as he hand me a sharpie and turns around for me to sign his number 5 jersey.

"17, turning 18 in two months, and you're only like 5 years older than me," he laughed and turned around.

"still, you're a senior? are you still playing ball?"

"yeah!"

"send me the schedule I'll bring the boys to one of the games!"

I walked into the locker room, and coach was already talking.

I had to stay on the field longer to do interviews, because that's what goes along with a 3 homerun night.

soaked in blue sticky Gatorade, I stood next to the door to the showers, which I so desperately needed.

"and with that, I introduce our new head of physical training and therapy, Coach Rose!"

I didn't see her before, she was hidden behind the massive coaches, but now she was in the spotlight.

"thanks coach, I'm so glad to be here. you guys can all call me Stella, coach rose is way to official for me. I know how strict you guys are with your diets, but, when I'm nervous, I tend to bake a lot, so I figured I would put it to good use and I made cookies and cake last night!"

the guys cheered as she pushed forward a cart of sweets to the center of the room. everyone went up to the cart to get food, everyone but me.

"I know your probably all anxious to go home, so I'll make my introduction short, i was born in raised right here in LA, never rooted for anybody but the dodgers, so it's really a dream come true to be here. I went to college at the university of Tennessee at Chattanooga, on a scholarship and internship deal working for the Chattanooga lookouts, and playing softball for the school. once I graduated, I worked for the mets for about a year, and now I'm here. I'm so thankful for this opportunity. ill let you guys go, and I'll talk more to you guys more about my policies and give out a schedule tomorrow morning at lifting."

all the boys groaned because tomorrow was supposed to be our day off, and my Stella just laughed that beautiful laugh of hers and says,

"sorry guys, but I don't really like days off."
