"Our competition's coming up soon and you still haven't learned the basic moves. If we don't win this time, it's all gonna be your fault," Namjoon, one of Jin's 'friends' said.
"I know, but I can't afford a dance coach. I've almost got the hang of it anyway, I'll learn it I promise," I lied, I most definitely didn't know what I was doing. I sucked at dancing.
"Good," Namjoon and his other friends eyed me from head to toe like they were judging me and left.
"What the hell am I supposed to do now ?"
I slowly walked towards my house, thinking what I was gonna do about the competition.
I don't know any of the dance moves even though I've practiced the same boring choreography for weeks for the sake of these guys I call my friends.
"Yo ! Seokjin !" I heard a voice yell behind me.
I turned around seeing one of my classmates running after me.
Shit, I don't know his name, I forgot it.
"Hey," he breathed heavily, "Mrs. Min was handing out these application papers, but you left early so she told me to give 'em to you," he spoke as he handed me the papers.
I took them and looked up, "what are they for ?"
"Some dumb dancing competition for next year, I don't know," he shook his shoulders.
"Dancing competition for next year?"
Some voice in my head kept telling me to throw them away, but I just nodded at the kid and turned around going back home.
My house wasn't far away from the school, I was just too lazy to walk faster and get there on time.
I rolled the papers and tucked them on the side of my school bag as I was slowly approaching my house.
I lived with my mom and dad.
I used to live with my sister too until two years ago.I shoved the horrible memory of my sister's death in the back of my head and opened the front door which was slowly falling apart.
We weren't that rich but we weren't poor either, it was just my dad who was too lazy to ever fix the god damn door.
I entered the house and per usual, my dad was sleeping on ;as he says; his couch while the TV screen was left on some sports channel. Three or four bottles of beer were laying on the floor, some of the beer was slowly leaking out of the bottles.
My mom on the other hand was in her room.
I heard sobs and silent cries.
Whenever I thought she would finally stop, it only got worse."It's your god damn fault she's dead, you did this to her !"
My father's voice was echoing in my head as I quickly ran up to my room, not wanting for him to wake up and start yelling again. As I was about to open the door I heard my mom's voice call out to me.
"Seokjin !"
Oh god, what now.
"Yeah ?" I yelled back waiting for her to say something again but it was quiet.
I rolled my eyes as I turned around walking downstairs again.
She was in her 'favorite' place like usual.
I knocked on her door and after a few seconds I heard her quiet voice, "come in."
I slowly opened the door and went inside.
"Do you need something mom ?" I asked.
She looked at me and per usual, her eyes were red and puffy from all the crying, "did you throw all of Seo's things away like I told you ?"
